Uber Eats Promo Codes, Uber One & Fee Savings

Uber Eats promo codes sit under Promotions in the app, and some only work for new users or certain areas. Beyond codes: Uber One, $9.99 monthly or $96 yearly, for a $0 Delivery Fee over each store's minimum, $4.99 for students, and No Rush Delivery.

Does Uber Eats have promo codes?

Yes. Codes go in under Promotions in your account, and some only work for first-time users or in certain cities or states. Only one code works per order, and Uber's referral rules bar posting personal codes on coupon websites, so we don't list Uber Eats codes.[14, 15, 17]

Our verdict

For anyone ordering delivery several times a month, Uber One ($9.99 monthly, $96 yearly) brings a $0 Delivery Fee and up to 10% off on eligible orders above the minimum each store displays, and eligible first-time members can try it free for 4 weeks. Students get it for $4.99 a month, while No Rush Delivery and Daily Dinner Deals cut costs without any membership. To cancel with a refund guaranteed, do it before the store accepts the order.

Ways to save at Uber Eats

Ordered by what each is typically worth to a regular shopper — the biggest saving first.

  1. Join Uber One if you order delivery several times a month

$0 Delivery Fee, up to 10% offLow effortRegular delivery and pickup customers

Uber One costs $9.99 a month or $96 a year, so the yearly plan works out to $8 a month. On eligible orders from stores with the Uber One icon that reach the minimum shown on the store's page, members get a $0 Delivery Fee on standard delivery, reduced service fees and up to 10% off delivery and pickup orders — 10% is the ceiling, not a fixed rate. Eligible first-time members can start with a 4-week free trial, and Uber's US grocery guide says members pay a $0 Service Fee on $60+ grocery orders.[1, 3, 7]

    1. Look for the gold Uber One icon under the store's name.
    2. Fill the cart past the minimum on the storefront — fees and taxes don't count toward it.
    3. Check that checkout shows the $0 Delivery Fee before you place the order.
  2. Students: sign up for Uber One for Students

$4.99 a month after a free trialLow effortStudents 18+ at an accredited college or university

The student plan costs $4.99 a month or $48 a year and lists the same $0 Delivery Fee and up to 10% off on eligible orders over the minimum. Uber's US student page starts with 4 weeks free, and you aren't charged until your student status is confirmed and any trial has ended. SheerID checks your name, birthday, school email and university; you re-verify once a year, and if that fails the plan switches to the full-price monthly or annual plan.[2, 4, 5]

    1. In the Uber app, open Account, then Uber One, then Continue.
    2. Choose Student and follow the prompts.
    3. Confirm your enrollment through SheerID with your school email.
  3. Use the deals built into the app

$0 Delivery Fee or a lower priceLow effortAnyone, with or without Uber One

Uber's US savings page names three options that need no code. $0 Delivery Fee spots rotate through a featured set of local restaurants that changes every 15 minutes; Daily Dinner Deals drop the Delivery Fee at featured restaurants when you pre-order dinner for a set time; and No Rush Delivery, picked at checkout, trades an extra wait for a lower price — the order is held in a queue before the restaurant receives it. The $0 Delivery Fee offers work only at participating restaurants and can't be combined, and taxes and other fees still apply.[6]

  4. Share Uber One with one adult in your household

A second account's benefits at no extra costLow effortMembers paying for a monthly or annual plan

Through Family sharing a paying member can link one other adult, whose account then gets the core benefits: Uber One credits, the $0 Delivery Fee where offered, reduced service fees and basket discounts. Student plans, trials, partner offers and Uber for Business memberships can't share, both accounts must be in the same country, and you can change who you share with once per calendar year. Partner perks and limited-time offers stay with the paying member.[2, 3]

  5. Collect the order yourself with Pickup

Skip delivery-linked feesSome effortAnyone close to the restaurant

Tap the Pickup tab on the Uber Eats home screen to see restaurants that offer it, and confirm the dining mode before you order. Uber's US fee guide says the Delivery Fee covers the cost of delivery and the Service Fee applies when a courier delivers the order through Uber, and its terms say menu prices and Uber's fees can vary between pickup and delivery. Uber One's up to 10% off covers pickup orders over the minimum as well.[1, 3, 9, 21]

  6. Check whether your Amex Platinum covers Uber One

Up to $120 a year in statement creditsLow effortUS consumer Amex Platinum Card Members

Uber's US grocery guide notes that U.S. Consumer American Express Platinum Card Members can receive up to $120 in Amex statement credits each calendar year when they pay for a monthly or annual Uber One membership with that card, subject to auto-renewal. If you hold the card, set it as the payment method for Uber One before paying for the membership another way.[3]

6 rules · ubereats.com, United States

The rules that decide what you pay

What Uber Eats says about order cancellation, refunds, missing or wrong items, Uber One cancellation, promo codes and fees — the details that turn a good deal into a bad one, or the other way round.

Order cancellation

A refund is guaranteed only until the store accepts your order.

Open the order, tap Help, then Cancel Order and confirm. After the store accepts, cancelling may cost you, and Uber's US terms say a request already under way may not be cancellable, or may carry a fee. If the store cancels — for example because an item ran out and you didn't update the order within 10 minutes — you aren't charged.[9, 10, 11, 12]

Refunds

Charges are final unless Uber and the store decide otherwise.

Ask through the Help section of your account within the time the app gives, or within 30 days of the charge if none is shown; for a cancelled order, Uber's help centre asks you to get in touch within 48 hours. It may offer adjustments when an order is cancelled because of an outage or a very late delivery, but if a courier made a reasonable effort to reach you at your address, you may not get a refund.[9, 11, 12]

Missing or wrong items

Orders with the Quality Guarantee badge can be refunded or credited.

On delivery orders that showed the Quality Guarantee badge at checkout, report missing or incorrect items, expired items or wrong replacements in the app, with photos if Uber asks. Uber decides between a refund and a credit for a future order, and the amount can't exceed what you paid for the affected items.[13]

Uber One cancellation

End it any time; the current billing period isn't refunded.

Go to Uber One, Manage Membership, then End Membership. Benefits run to the end of the billing cycle — except on a free trial, when they stop at once — and if you cancel less than 24 hours before renewal, a renewal charge that already went through is refunded automatically. Monthly members who aren't on a free trial or partner offer can pause instead, up to four times a calendar year, as long as they do it at least 24 hours before the billing day.[1, 2]

Promo codes

One code per order, added before you place it.

Add a code under Account, Promotions, Enter promo code, then select it in the promotions section at checkout. Store promos apply first, followed by your highest-value account promo; a fixed-amount code loses whatever you don't use, and some codes work only in certain areas or for first-time users. A code you forgot can't be added once the order is placed.[14, 15, 16]

Fees

Several fees can sit on top of menu prices.

Expect a Delivery Fee that varies by store and is shown before you choose one; a Service Fee worked out as a percentage of the subtotal before promotions, with a minimum and maximum; a Small Order Fee below a set subtotal, which goes away when you add items; and a Delivery Adjustment Fee if you change the order, such as the address, after placing it. California orders add a CA Driver Benefits fee, and Priority or Long Range Delivery can cost extra even with Uber One.[1, 8]

5 catches in the fine print

Watch out for

Where shoppers lose the saving they thought they had.

  1. Menu prices may not match the restaurant's

Uber's US terms say item prices in the app can differ from what the restaurant charges at its own counter and may not be the lowest available. For groceries, look for the in-store pricing badge; at stores without it, prices may include a markup.[3, 9]

  2. Ending a free trial ends the benefits at once

Cancel Uber One during a free trial and the benefits stop immediately, not at the end of the trial. Uber allows one trial or promotional subscription per user.[2]

  3. A $0 Delivery Fee isn't a $0 bill

The Uber One benefit covers standard delivery only: Priority Delivery and Long Range Delivery can add charges, other fees and taxes still apply, and none of them count toward the order minimum.[1]

  4. Membership credits go when the membership does

Uber One credits can't be used without an active membership, and Uber Cash or credits earned through Uber One can be taken back when it ends. Spend them before you cancel.[1, 2]

  5. Uber Cash pays first

Uber Cash is set as your default payment method, so a gift card balance goes toward your next order unless you pick another method in the app first. Gift card value never expires, but Uber Cash that Uber hands out as a promotion or goodwill credit can.[18, 19]

Uber Eats savings FAQ

Yes. Codes go in under Promotions in your account, and some only work for first-time users or in certain cities or states. Only one code works per order, and Uber's referral rules bar posting personal codes on coupon websites, so we don't list Uber Eats codes.[14, 15, 17]

In the US it's $9.99 a month or $96 a year. Eligible first-time members get a 4-week free trial, and students pay $4.99 a month or $48 a year.[1, 3, 5]

Yes — Uber One for Students, at $4.99 a month or $48 a year, with a 4-week free trial on Uber's US student page. You must be 18 or older, confirm your enrollment through SheerID with your school email, and re-verify every year.[2, 4, 5]

Uber One gives a $0 Delivery Fee on eligible orders that meet the store's minimum. Without a membership, look for the $0 Delivery Fee restaurants and Daily Dinner Deals in the app, where pre-ordering dinner for a set time removes the fee; taxes and other fees still apply.[1, 6]

Uber only guarantees a refund if you cancel before the store accepts the order: open it, tap Help and choose Cancel Order. After that you may be charged; if you think you qualify for a refund, contact Uber within 48 hours of the cancellation.[10, 11]

Add the code under Account, Promotions, Enter promo code, then scroll to the promotions section at checkout and select it before you tap Place order. It has to be on the order before you place it — Uber can't add a forgotten code afterwards.[15, 16]

Uber's US grocery guide says app-wide promotions, store offers and Uber One benefits can go on one order when each offer's terms allow it, and the membership terms leave combining up to Uber. You can still apply only one promo code per order.[2, 3, 14]

No. The value of an Uber gift card never expires and carries no fees; it's added to your Uber Cash and can be spent on Uber Eats orders in the US. Gift cards can't be reloaded, moved to another account once added, or exchanged for cash unless the law requires it.[18, 19]

In the app, open Uber One, tap Manage Membership, then End Membership. Benefits last until the end of the billing cycle, but a free trial ends straight away; if you cancel in the last 24 hours before renewal, a renewal charge already taken is refunded automatically.[1, 2]
