Target Promo Codes, Circle Deals & Ways to Save

At Target the savings sit in its own programs: free Target Circle deals that apply at checkout, 5% off with the Circle Card, free shipping from $35 and a price match on Target's own lower prices.

Does Target have promo codes?

Target's coupon policy says Target.com coupons come with an alphanumeric code entered at checkout, but most of its savings run through Target Circle: member deals that apply automatically and personal Bonuses you activate in your account. Bonuses can't be shared or transferred, so they aren't codes anyone else can pass on.[2, 7]

Our verdict

Join Target Circle for free and sign in, or enter your phone number, before you pay, so member deals apply on their own. If you shop at Target often, the Target Circle Card takes 5% off in store and online, and adds free shipping and 30 extra days for returns. And if Target's own price drops within 14 days of buying, ask for a price match.

Ways to save at Target

Ordered by what each is typically worth to a regular shopper — the biggest saving first.

  1. Join Target Circle and identify yourself every time

Automatic member deals and BonusesLow effortEveryone

Target Circle is free and doesn't need a credit or debit card. Target Circle deals apply automatically when you're signed in on Target.com or the app, or when you enter your phone number or scan the Wallet barcode at a store checkout. Personal Target Circle Bonuses work differently: they only apply if you activate them in your account first. Add your birthday too — members get a 5% off birthday reward, valid for 30 days.[1, 2]

    1. Join at target.com/circle or in the My Target tab of the Target app.
    2. Add your mobile number to your account so you can use it at store checkouts.
    3. Before you shop, open your Circle deals page and activate the Bonuses you'll use.
  2. Pay with a Target Circle Card

5% off, free shipping, 30 extra return daysSome effortRegular Target shoppers

The Target Circle Card comes as a debit card linked to your checking account (no credit check, subject to identity verification) or as a credit card that needs credit approval; neither has annual or monthly fees. Both take 5% off at Target stores and on Target.com, on top of Circle deals, worked out after other discounts. They also bring free shipping on Target.com orders, 30 extra days for returns and Target Circle 360 for $49 a year instead of $99. The 5% doesn't cover gift cards, prescriptions, membership fees, taxes or shipping.[2, 3]

  3. Ask for a price match if Target's price drops

The difference, within 14 daysLow effortAnyone who bought at Target

Target matches its own lower price on an identical item — on Target.com, in your Target store or through an automatic Target Circle deal — at checkout or up to 14 days after you buy. In store, show the live price on your phone at Guest Services (screenshots aren't accepted); for online orders, chat or call Guest Services. It can't be combined with Target Circle Bonuses or Target coupons, but the Circle Card's 5% still applies to a price-matched item.[6]

    1. Keep your receipt, packing slip or order number.
    2. Recheck the price on Target.com, or in the app set to your store, during the 14 days.
    3. If it drops, ask at Guest Services or in online chat with the current price on screen.
  4. Skip the shipping fee — or pick it up

Saves the $5.99 shipping feeLow effortOnline orders under $35

Target.com orders under $35 pay a $5.99 flat shipping fee unless you pay with a Target Circle Card or are a Target Circle 360 member. The $35 is counted after promotions and discounts, before tax, and some low-priced items only ship in orders of $35 or more. Order Pickup is free and usually ready within 2 hours, and when checkout offers no-rush shipping, combining packages takes $1 off.[2, 7, 9, 10]

  5. Weigh Target Circle 360 against delivery fees

No same-day delivery fee on $35+ ordersSome effortFrequent same-day delivery users

Without a membership, Same Day Delivery costs $9.99 per order, with a $35 minimum. Target Circle 360 removes that fee on orders over $35 and adds free 2-day shipping on eligible items, monthly freebies and 30 extra days for returns on Target.com and app purchases. It costs $99 a year or $10.99 a month — $49 a year or $4.99 a month for Target Circle Card holders and verified teachers, college students, military members and government assistance recipients — and there's a 14-day free trial.[2, 4, 5, 11]

Target promo codes

Codes and offers kept by David Jones, who lists only codes the store makes public.

Target's savings come through Target Circle: member deals apply automatically when you sign in, and personal Bonuses can't be shared. We list only codes or dated deals Target publishes on target.com for everyone, and we found none when this guide was updated.

No public code we could confirm right now

We would rather show nothing than a code that fails at checkout. The ways to save above work without one.

6 rules · target.com, United States

The rules that decide what you pay

What Target says about shipping, returns, return exceptions, price match, coupons and Target Circle Rewards — the details that turn a good deal into a bad one, or the other way round.

Shipping

Free from $35, with a Circle Card or with Circle 360; otherwise $5.99.

On most items Target picks the fastest speed available — standard, 2-day or next-day — rather than offering a choice; standard shipping arrives 3–5 business days after the items ship. Express shipping is priced by weight, from $10 for up to 4 lbs. Orders to Alaska, Hawaii and US territories can carry a surcharge, which paying with a Target Circle Card avoids.[9]

Returns

90 days for most items; a year for Target Owned Brands with a receipt.

For online orders the clock starts when you receive them. Return in any Target store, by mail with the free return label Target emails when mail-in is needed, or with Drive Up for eligible items at most stores. Paying with a Target Circle Card adds 30 days to each item's window, and opened beauty items can go back within 90 days, or 120 with the Card.[3, 10, 12]

Return exceptions

Electronics 30 days, Apple and Beats 14 days, some items final sale.

Most electronics and entertainment items must come back within 30 days, all Apple and Beats products (phones included) within 14, and most Target Plus Partner items within 30. Trading cards, personalized items, digital downloads, opened breast pumps and gift cards can't be returned, and opened music, movies, video games and software can only be exchanged for the same title.[12]

Price match

Target's own lower price on an identical item, within 14 days.

Brand, size, color, quantity and model number must match, and the lower price must be live when you ask. Prices at other Target stores, clearance, refurbished and open-package items, minimum-spend and bundle deals are excluded, and Target.com and app prices can't be matched in Alaska and Hawaii. Out-of-stock items still qualify, but no rain checks are given.[6]

Coupons

Per item: one manufacturer coupon, one Target category offer, one Target item offer.

Only one storewide offer works per transaction, and each category or storewide offer's minimum has to be met separately. Identical coupons are limited to four per household per day, Target coupons don't work on products sold by CVS, and if you return an item the refund leaves out any coupon or promotional discount.[7]

Target Circle Rewards

Spent all at once, and lost after a year without activity.

When you apply Rewards, the whole balance goes on that purchase — you can't use part of it. You earn them by completing certain Bonuses (the old 1% earnings on every purchase ended in April 2024), can't be spent on alcohol, dairy, gift cards or Target Plus Partner items, and expire if you haven't earned or redeemed any for a year.[1, 2]

  • October

    Target Circle Deal Days

Target's fall sale for Target Circle members ran October 6–7 in 2026, with early access for Circle 360 members from October 5. Target advertised up to 40% off thousands of items; that's the top of the range.[13]

5 catches in the fine print

Watch out for

Where shoppers lose the saving they thought they had.

  1. Promotions skip many big brands

Target's promotion exclusions include Apple, LEGO, Dyson, Nintendo Switch hardware and games, PlayStation consoles, Stanley, Samsung TVs and gift cards, among others. Check the list before counting on a code or category offer.[8]

  2. Gift-card-with-purchase deals shrink refunds

You're charged for the item minus a discount, plus a separate charge for the gift card. Return the item and the refund drops by the gift card's value — promotional gift cards aren't refundable — and an item with a gift card offer can't be price matched.[2, 6, 12]

  3. A coupon can push you under $35

The free-shipping threshold is counted after promotions and discounts. If a discount takes your cart below $35, the $5.99 fee comes back unless you pay with a Circle Card — or switch to free Order Pickup.[2, 9, 10]

  4. The extra 30 days doesn't reach Target's own brands

Target Owned Brand items already have a one-year window with a receipt, and the Circle Card's extra 30 days isn't added to it. Limited-time designer collaborations aren't covered by the one-year policy and typically have about two weeks.[12]

  5. Circle 360 fees aren't refunded

The membership renews automatically and the fee is non-refundable. Cancel in the Membership section of your Target account before the renewal date — or before a free trial ends — if you don't want to pay.[2, 4]

Target savings FAQ

Target's coupon policy says Target.com coupons come with an alphanumeric code entered at checkout, but most of its savings run through Target Circle: member deals that apply automatically and personal Bonuses you activate in your account. Bonuses can't be shared or transferred, so they aren't codes anyone else can pass on.[2, 7]

Yes. Joining Target Circle costs nothing and doesn't need a credit or debit card — sign up at target.com/circle or in the Target app. Target Circle 360 is the paid tier, and the Target Circle Card is a separate payment card.[1]

$99 a year or $10.99 a month. Target Circle Card holders and verified teachers, college students, military members and government assistance recipients pay $49 a year or $4.99 a month, and there's a 14-day free trial.[4, 5]

Target's Price Match Guarantee is built around Target's own prices: it matches a lower price on Target.com, in a Target store or through an automatic Target Circle deal, within 14 days of purchase. The policy doesn't list other retailers, and Target says it doesn't match prices shown on comparison-shopping sites.[6]

Most unopened items in new condition can be returned within 90 days, and Target Owned Brand items within a year with a receipt. Electronics have 30 days and Apple and Beats products 14, and paying with a Target Circle Card adds 30 days to most windows.[12]

Yes — it applies on top of Target Circle deals and to price-matched items, after other discounts are taken off. It doesn't apply to gift cards, prescriptions, Circle 360 fees, taxes, shipping or delivery fees.[2, 3, 6, 11]

Target Circle members who add their birthday to their account get a birthday reward: 5% off a future purchase, issued on the day and valid for 30 days. It's limited to one a year.[1, 2]

In 2026 Target's fall member sale was called Target Circle Deal Days and ran October 6–7, with early access for Circle 360 members from October 5. It's over for this year.[13]
