Members get free standard shipping on orders of $39 or more (Macy's lists $49 for other shoppers), free return shipping by mail instead of a $9.99 fee, 1 point per $1 on eligible purchases, Star Money Bonus Days and a birthday surprise. 2. Check Macy's own offers page for a promo code

   Macy's points shoppers to its Macy's Coupons page (All Active Offers) to see current promotions and check which promo code applies; the offer details on product pages also show codes. In October 2026, code SAVE40 took 40% off the cheaper of two full-price pairs of selected sunglasses bought together, through October 25. Only one promo code works per order, so pick the one that saves the most.^{[10, 11, 15]}

   1. Open the Macy's Coupons page and the offer details on the item you want.
   2. Check the minimum spend and excluded brands before you apply a code.
   3. Enter one code at checkout and confirm the discount appears.

3. Claim a price adjustment if the price drops

   If an item's advertised Macy's price falls within 10 days of your order date, Macy's refunds the difference to your original payment method. Forgot to enter a promo code? Macy's says a price adjustment may cover that too, within the same 10 days. Direct from Vendor items aren't eligible, and promotional discounts can't be combined with an adjustment.^{[9, 10]}

   2. Chat with Macy's or call 1-800-289-6229 with your order number.
   3. For in-store purchases, bring your receipt to a Macy's store.

   During Star Money Bonus Days, members earn bonus points on top of their usual rate, which gets them to each $10 reward sooner — Bronze members must be signed in on macys.com to get them. At select Macy's Money events, Macy's help page lists $10 back for spending $50–$99.99, rising to $40 for $200 or more, per transaction, to spend during the redemption dates on the card. Furniture, mattresses, rugs, tech and gift cards are left out of both.^{[6, 12]}

5. Open a Macy's Card only if you'll use the perks

   Macy's standard new-account discount is 30% off macys.com purchases (20% in stores) on the day you're approved, capped at $100 in total savings; it needs credit approval on the spot, and Macy's sometimes offers a different promotional discount instead. Cardholders move to Silver, Gold or Platinum based on yearly card spending and earn 2, 3 or 5 points per $1 when they pay with the card; Gold and Platinum get free standard shipping with no minimum. Paying through a digital wallet other than Macy's Pay earns no cardholder points.^{[4, 7, 8]}

Macy's shows its public codes on its own site — the Macy's Coupons page and the offer details on product pages — and only one code works per order. We list only codes Macy's publishes there, with their end dates; Star Pass coupons mailed to members aren't listed.

1. Star Money expires after 30 days

   Each $10 reward is valid for 30 days from the day it's issued, and using part of it doesn't extend that. Points also lapse if you make no qualifying purchase for 12 months in a row.^{[5, 7]}

2. Returns take back points — and Star Money

   Points earned on a returned item are removed; if you don't have enough left, your available Star Money is cut by 1¢ per point. Star Money spent on a returned item may come back as new Star Money, a Macy's Happy Returns card or a merchandise-only certificate.^{[5, 7]}

3. Free gifts have to come back with the item

   If a purchase earned a bonus or promotional gift, return it with the item or Macy's may refuse the return or deduct the gift's value. With Buy One, Get One deals, the discount is split across the items, so each refund is the discounted price.^[1]

4. Codes and price adjustments don't stack

   Only one promo code works per order, and promotional discounts can't be combined with a price adjustment. Work out which one saves more before you ask.^{[9, 10]}

5. Savings are measured from offering prices

   Macy's product pages say savings are based on offering prices, not actual sales. Judge a deal by the price you'd pay rather than the percentage off.^[15]
