Sixt's program page lists up to 8% off at Silver (with bigger discounts in the app), up to 10% at Gold from 2,000 status points, up to 15% at Platinum from 4,000 and up to 20% at Diamond from 6,000, with 1 status point per euro of qualifying spend. In the US, Sixt says Silver members get better member rates in the app than on the web; member rates can't be stacked with other promotional offers or used on business bookings.^{[4, 5, 6]}

   2. Sign in before you search, so the member discount appears in the price details.

2. Prepay when your plans are fixed

   A lower rate than FlexiLow effortTrips with firm dates

   Sixt's help centre says the Prepaid rate is priced below Flexi, and its holiday-deals page puts the saving at up to 25%. The trade-off: you pay in full when you book, cancelling is free only within 24 hours of booking and only if pickup is more than 48 hours away, and after that Sixt keeps $100, or $200 if you cancel within 24 hours of pickup. A no-show, a cancellation after the pickup time or an early return brings no refund, and the driver and card on the booking can't be changed.^{[7, 8, 9, 22]}

3. Book a dated US offer from its own page

   On October 17, 2026, Sixt's US deals page listed up to 15% off week-start rentals — 2 to 4 days, picked up on a Sunday or Monday to Wednesday and back by Thursday of that week, on cars labeled Weekday Special — and up to 15% off cars labeled Premium Special for rentals of 3 to 27 days. Both have to be booked by October 31, 2026 from the offer's own page; week-start pickups run through March 31, 2027 and Premium Special pickups through December 15, 2026. The discount covers only the daily base rate and can't be combined with other promotions or corporate rates.^{[1, 2, 3]}

   1. Open the offer from Sixt's car rental deals page.
   2. Search from that page and choose a car carrying the offer's label.
   3. Check the discounted price before you confirm.

4. Verify your status for a group discount

   Sixt runs its group discounts through GoCertify: you confirm your status, then book with the discount applied and no code to type. Service members and veterans get up to 15% and show a valid military or veterans ID at pickup; GoCertify's terms for that offer list rentals of 3 to 27 days. US-licensed medical professionals get up to 15% on prepaid rentals booked online, and teachers, school employees and students have offers of their own. For first responders, Sixt's terms run through December 31, 2026 and put the US in the "all other countries" group — up to 10% — with US bookings limited to Fullsize cars or larger.^{[11, 12, 13, 14, 16]}

   2. Verify your status with GoCertify.
   3. Book through the link you're given and bring the matching ID to pickup.

5. Match elite status from Hertz, Avis or Enterprise

   Sixt's help centre lists Hertz Gold Plus Rewards, Avis Preferred and Enterprise Plus among the programs it will match into SIXT ONE, along with hotel programs such as Marriott Bonvoy and airline programs such as Miles & More; Delta SkyMiles and AAdvantage aren't eligible. You sign in to your SIXT account and upload proof of your current status. A higher tier brings a bigger member discount — up to 10% at Gold, 15% at Platinum and 20% at Diamond — extra rental points and, from Platinum, free upgrades when a car is available.^{[4, 5, 6]}

1. Vouchers and Prepaid don't mix

   Sixt accepts vouchers only on new Pay at pick-up bookings, entered under Voucher and Bonus Program; they can't be added to a booking afterwards, and the rental has to be completed before the voucher expires. SIXT ONE rental points can't be redeemed alongside a voucher either.^{[5, 10]}

2. Cashless tolls without a pass

   Drive through an automated toll lane with no transponder and no Sixt toll product and you pay the toll plus a $15.99 admin fee per usage day, capped at $99 per rental. In the Northeast, Sixt's own toll service bills at the highest undiscounted toll rate plus a daily fee; if you use your own transponder there, keep the car's transponder box closed.^{[7, 20]}

3. Paying for fuel you don't use

   Prepaid Fuel isn't refunded for whatever is left in the tank. Skip it and return the car at the level you got it and fuel costs nothing; bring it back lower and you pay the per-gallon price on your rental agreement, and Sixt itself says its refueling charges usually come to significantly more than a gas station.^{[7, 21]}

4. Not every rental earns SIXT ONE points

   Sixt's program terms leave out US branches in Ohio and Indiana (and Guam and Puerto Rico), franchise-run branches, rentals booked through sites like Expedia, brokers or tour packages, and rentals longer than 27 days. Points are counted per euro, so dollar spend is converted at the European Central Bank rate on the invoice date.^[5]

5. Points are spent in the app, on the base rate only

   Rental points can be redeemed only in the SIXT app, in full days for up to 7 days, and only against the time-and-mileage base rate — not taxes, fees, protection or extras. They expire 24 months after the end of the quarter in which you earned them.^{[5, 6]}
