Expedia Promo Codes & Ways to Pay Less
Expedia's member-only hotel prices show only when you're signed in, and joining is free. Add package pricing, OneKeyCash on stays and cars, and the coupons Expedia posts itself, and the same trip can cost less.
Does Expedia have promo codes?
Yes — Expedia posts its own codes on its Coupons page and sends others by email. They work on hotels and packages paid at booking, not on Pay Later hotel bookings, and each code has its own exclusions.[2, 3]

Our verdict
Sign in to One Key before you search — Member Prices take 10% or more off select stays from the day you join — then price the trip as a package, where Expedia says members can save up to 30%. Check Expedia's Coupons page before paying, and remember that codes only work on bookings you pay now.

Ways to save at Expedia
Ordered by what each is typically worth to a regular shopper — the biggest saving first.
Sign in to One Key before you search
One Key is Expedia's free rewards program, and its Member Prices only show when you're signed in. Blue members — everyone who joins — save 10% or more on select stays; Silver brings 15% or more, and Gold and Platinum 20% or more. The discount is worked out before taxes and fees.[1, 11]
- Join One Key for free with an Expedia account.
- Sign in on the website or app before you search, so member rates show.
- Look for the yellow price tag that marks member-only deals.
Price the trip as a package
Expedia negotiates package rates with hotels, airlines and car rental companies, and says One Key members can save up to 30% when they book a package — that's the top of the range, not the usual saving. When the savings add up to the cost of a whole flight, a night's stay or a car rental, Expedia labels it an Unreal Deal in search results. Compare the package with booking each part on its own before you decide.[8, 9]
Earn OneKeyCash on stays and cars, and keep it alive
Signed-in members earn OneKeyCash on eligible hotels, vacation rentals, car rentals, activities, ground transportation and cruises: 1% at Blue, 2% at Silver and Gold and 3% at Platinum, before taxes and fees — and 3–6% at VIP Access stays from Silver up. $1 in OneKeyCash is worth $1 on a future eligible booking, and it doesn't expire as long as you make an eligible booking at least once every 18 months.[1]
Check Expedia's Coupons page before you pay
Expedia posts its own promo codes on its Coupons page, and sends others by email that you can save to your account. They work on hotels and packages paid at booking — not on Pay Later hotel bookings, and not on bookings you've already made — and each code has its own exclusions.[2, 3]
- Check Expedia's Coupons page and read the code's details.
- If you're offered Pay Now or Pay Later, choose Pay Now.
- On the payment page, under Price details, select Use a coupon, credit, or promotion code, enter it and select Apply.
Watch a flight's price after you book it
Every One Key member gets free price tracking for flights. On select flights you can also add Price Drop Protection for a fee: Expedia checks your exact flight every 24 hours until departure and, if its price on Expedia falls, pays you the difference after your trip. Gold and Platinum members get it on eligible flights in the Expedia app, paid in OneKeyCash. If you change your mind, it can be cancelled for a full refund within 24 hours of buying it.[1, 7]

Expedia promo codes
Codes and offers kept by David Jones, who lists only codes the store makes public.
These are Expedia's own codes, from its Coupons page. They work on hotels and packages paid at booking — not Pay Later stays — and a coupon used on a booking you later change or cancel is lost.
No public code we could confirm right now
We would rather show nothing than a code that fails at checkout. The ways to save above work without one.
6 rules · expedia.com, United States
The rules that decide what you pay
What Expedia says about hotel cancellations, flight cancellations, refunds, airline schedule changes, coupons and OneKeyCash — the details that turn a good deal into a bad one, or the other way round.
Hotel cancellations
Cancel online in Trips — if the option is there.
Open the booking in Trips and select Change or cancel; Expedia shows the policy, any fees and a refund summary before you confirm. No cancel option means the booking is non-refundable or too close to check-in — you'll need to contact Expedia, and the property may charge a fee.[4]
Flight cancellations
The airline's rules decide what you get back.
Some airlines give a full refund if you cancel within 24 hours of booking. Non-refundable fares get no refund, though you might get an airline credit. Some airlines — Frontier, Ryanair and AirAsia among them — handle cancellations themselves, a roundtrip booked as separate tickets is cancelled one flight at a time, and travel insurance isn't cancelled automatically with the flight.[5]
Refunds
Money back, credit, or a mix — depending on the booking.
Depending on the booking's rules, a refund goes back to your original payment method or comes as an airline credit, rewards or coupons — sometimes a combination. Deposits and partial payments are refunded minus any non-refundable fees, and the cancellation summary gives the timeline.[6]
Airline schedule changes
A big enough change by the airline means a refund.
Under US Department of Transportation rules, you can get the fare and any paid add-ons back if your flight is cancelled, if a domestic flight's departure or arrival moves by 3 hours or more (6 hours or more for international flights), or if the airline changes your airport, adds stops or moves you to a lower class.[10]
Coupons
Pay Now hotels and packages only.
Coupons can't be used on Pay Later hotel bookings or on bookings you've already made, and each code has its own exclusions. If you change or cancel a booking made with a coupon, the coupon is gone — it can't be redeemed again.[2, 3]
OneKeyCash
Not cash and not transferable — but it can pay for someone else's trip.
On a package, OneKeyCash only covers the eligible non-flight part. On the select flights where it works, it has to cover the whole fare including taxes and fees, and bags or seats are added afterwards. It can't be exchanged for cash or moved to another member, but you can use it on an eligible booking in someone else's name.[1]
5 catches in the fine print
Watch out for
Where shoppers lose the saving they thought they had.
Changing a coupon booking costs you the coupon
If you change or cancel a stay booked with a coupon, Expedia doesn't give the coupon back. Use codes on plans you're sure of.[3]
Flights don't earn OneKeyCash
Expedia lists hotels, vacation rentals, car rentals, activities, ground transportation and cruises as the bookings that earn OneKeyCash — flights aren't on the list. And on a package, OneKeyCash can't pay for the flight part.[1]
Price Drop Protection only watches Expedia
It pays out on Expedia's own public price for your exact flight. Lower fares on other websites, package prices and Member Prices don't count, and changes to the flight can cancel the protection.[7]
Tier progress starts again every January
One Key tiers are based on Trip Elements collected in a calendar year, and progress resets on January 1. Only elements worth $25 or more before taxes and fees count.[1]
A fare may not include bags or seats
Flight prices on Expedia include taxes and fees but may not include baggage, seat selection, meals or other extras — and with two airlines on one trip, those fees can differ each way.[10]
