Hotels.com Coupon Codes & Member Savings

Hotels.com's savings run through One Key, its free membership: Member Prices, OneKeyCash, Save Your Way and up to 25% off extra hotels on the same trip. Codes and OneKeyCash need Pay Now.

Does Hotels.com have promo codes?

Hotels.com has a coupons page that explains how to use its codes, and every code carries its own terms, linked from the email it came in. On October 16, 2026 the page listed no public code. Codes only work on Pay Now bookings and come off the room price before taxes and fees.[6, 7]

Our verdict

Join One Key and stay signed in while you search — that is what shows Member Prices of at least 10% off select stays, and after your first hotel booking Trip Savings can cut up to 25% off more hotels on the same trip. Pick Pay Now whenever you plan to use a coupon or OneKeyCash, since Pay Later bookings take neither, and don't count on a price match: the Price Guarantee closed to new bookings on July 28, 2026.

Ways to save at Hotels.com

Ordered by what each is typically worth to a regular shopper — the biggest saving first.

  1. Join One Key and search while signed in

At least 10% off select staysLow effortAnyone 18 or older — joining is free

Hotels.com shows its Member Prices only to One Key members signed in on the site or app, and joining costs nothing. Every new member starts at Blue, with member rates at least 10% below the standard rate at select stays; at Silver the member rate rises to 15% or more, and at Gold and Platinum to 20% or more, at over 10,000 hotels. Percentages apply before taxes and fees, and the struck-through figure next to a member rate is the hotel's standard rate on Hotels.com.[1, 4]

    1. Create a free Hotels.com account — you need to be 18 or older.
    2. Sign in on hotels.com or in the app before you search.
    3. Stay signed in when you book, so the stay also earns OneKeyCash.
  2. Book the next hotel on your trip with Trip Savings

Up to 25% off additional hotelsLow effortMulti-city trips, split stays, extended stays

Once a member has booked one hotel, Hotels.com unlocks savings of up to 25% on more hotels for the same trip — no coupon needed. To count as the same trip, the next stay has to be within 1,000 miles and start or end within 3 days of the first booking. Only select hotels take part, and you can't unlock the deal by checking out two hotels at once: the first booking has to come first.[3]

    1. Book your first hotel while signed in.
    2. Search your next stop and turn on the Trip Savings filter.
    3. Book it any time up to the last day of your trip.
  3. Use Save Your Way: take the discount or bank it

The discount now, or in full as OneKeyCashLow effortMembers booking a discounted hotel with Pay Now

Only on Hotels.com: when a member books a participating hotel that already shows a discount, they can take it off the price now or bank the whole amount as OneKeyCash for a later trip. It works on Pay Now hotel bookings; banked OneKeyCash is confirmed within three days of your stay and it remains usable provided you book something eligible at least once in three years. A Save Your Way booking can't be changed online — only customer service can help, so bank the discount only on plans you're sure of.[2, 4]

    1. Pick a hotel showing a discount badge.
    2. Choose Pay Now after selecting your room.
    3. At checkout, choose to save now or bank the discount for later.
  4. Earn OneKeyCash and spend it on a Pay Now stay

A percentage back; $1 = $1Low effortAnyone booking hotels, vacation rentals or cars

Members who are signed in collect OneKeyCash when they book an eligible hotel, vacation rental or car rental, with the percentage applied before taxes and fees are added. Hotels.com's One Key page advertises 2% back (up to 6% for Platinum members at VIP Access hotels), while the program terms effective July 28, 2026 list 1% for Blue, 2% for Silver and Gold and 3% for Platinum — your itinerary and Rewards Activity page show what you actually earned. Each $1 of OneKeyCash takes $1 off a later Pay Now booking, can also be spent on Expedia and Vrbo, and stays in your account provided you make an eligible booking within any 18-month period.[1, 4, 5]

  5. Enter a coupon code — on Pay Now only

Off the room rate, before taxesLow effortAnyone holding a Hotels.com code

Each Hotels.com code has its own terms — the help center points you to the link in your discount code email — and codes only work when you choose Pay Now. Hotels and vacation rentals that only take payment at the property aren't eligible, and some codes work only on mobile or only on desktop. The discount comes off the room price before taxes and fees.[6, 7]

    1. Pick your property and select Reserve.
    2. Choose Pay Now when the payment options appear.
    3. In the Reservation Summary, select Apply a coupon, enter the code and select Apply.

Hotels.com coupon codes

Codes and offers kept by David Jones, who lists only codes the store makes public.

Hotels.com codes come with their own terms and only work on Pay Now bookings; its coupons page listed no public code on October 16, 2026. We list a code only when Hotels.com publishes it itself.

No public code we could confirm right now

We would rather show nothing than a code that fails at checkout. The ways to save above work without one.

6 rules · hotels.com, United States

The rules that decide what you pay

What Hotels.com says about cancellation, refunds, Pay Now and Pay Later, changes, OneKeyCash and Price Guarantee — the details that turn a good deal into a bad one, or the other way round.

Cancellation

Each property sets its own policy — check the rate before you pay.

A single room can be sold at a fully refundable, a partially refundable and a non-refundable rate; free-cancellation cutoffs are typically 24–48 hours before check-in, but they vary and follow the hotel's local time. You cancel from Trips with Change or cancel, and Hotels.com lists any fees and what you'll get back before the cancellation goes through. If that option is missing, the rate is non-refundable or check-in is too near — you'll have to reach Hotels.com directly, and the hotel may add a fee.[8, 9]

Refunds

Credited within 24 hours — then it's up to your bank.

Hotels.com credits the card you paid with within 24 hours of processing a refund; your bank can take up to 7 days to post it and up to 2 billing cycles to show it on a statement. If you paid with a Hotels.com gift card, the refund comes back as a new gift card, emailed within 4 hours. Hotels.com's own fees aren't refundable unless the booking process says otherwise.[10, 11]

Pay Now and Pay Later

Pay Later is charged by the property, in its local currency.

With Pay Now, the booking amount is usually charged when you book; with Pay Later, the property charges your card in its local currency at the time of your stay, or as stated when you book, and taxes and fees can differ between the two options. A Pay Later no-show or late cancellation can still cost you the property's charge. Coupons, OneKeyCash and Hotels.com gift cards only work on Pay Now bookings.[5, 7, 11, 13]

Changes

A changed booking is priced at today's rate.

Under Hotels.com's terms, the new arrangement costs whatever the price is when you ask for the change, which may not match what you first paid, and Hotels.com may add an administration fee on top of the property's charges. Bookings that earned Save Your Way OneKeyCash can't be changed online at all.[4, 11]

OneKeyCash

No cash value and stuck to your account — but it can cover someone else's booking.

You can't swap OneKeyCash for money or pass it to a different member; you can, though, apply it to a reservation in another traveler's name. Pay Later stays, packages and some vacation rentals can't be paid with it, and the share of a booking covered by OneKeyCash or a coupon earns no new OneKeyCash.[4, 5]

Price Guarantee

Closed to bookings made from July 28, 2026.

Hotels.com ended its Hotel Price Guarantee on July 28, 2026 as part of changes to One Key. Bookings made before that date can still qualify: a One Key member has to claim before midnight local time on the day before the stay, for an identical publicly available rate, and the difference is paid in OneKeyCash.[12]

5 catches in the fine print

Watch out for

Where shoppers lose the saving they thought they had.

  1. Hotels.com quotes two different OneKeyCash rates

Its One Key page advertises 2% back for every tier, while the One Key terms effective July 28, 2026 list 1% for Blue members. Go by the OneKeyCash shown on your itinerary and Rewards Activity page, not the headline rate.[1, 4, 5]

  2. Your whole OneKeyCash balance goes on the booking

On an eligible booking, Hotels.com applies your entire balance to the total. An option to change the amount only appears at checkout on some bookings, so check it if you're saving OneKeyCash for a bigger trip.[4, 5]

  3. A late cancellation can cost you the OneKeyCash too

If you cancel inside the penalty window and get only a partial refund or credit, any OneKeyCash you used on that booking is forfeited.[4]

  4. Save Your Way bookings are locked online

Once you've banked a discount with Save Your Way, the booking can't be changed online. Customer service may help, or cancel it so you can rebook — subject to availability and the property's rules.[4]

  5. Cancellation deadlines run on the hotel's clock

Free-cancellation cutoffs use the property's local time, not yours, and rates booked close to arrival can have short windows — some need cancelling the same day. Note the exact deadline from your booking details.[8]

Hotels.com savings FAQ

Hotels.com has a coupons page that explains how to use its codes, and every code carries its own terms, linked from the email it came in. On October 16, 2026 the page listed no public code. Codes only work on Pay Now bookings and come off the room price before taxes and fees.[6, 7]

Pick your property, select Reserve and choose Pay Now. In the Reservation Summary, select Apply a coupon, enter the code and select Apply. If it won't apply, check whether the property only takes payment on site, or whether the code is for mobile or desktop only.[6, 7]

Yes — anyone 18 or older can join with a Hotels.com account. Sign in before you book: OneKeyCash isn't added for bookings made while signed out or before you joined.[1, 4]

A Hotels.com-only One Key option: on a participating Pay Now hotel that shows a discount, you either take the discount now or bank the full amount as OneKeyCash for a later trip. Banked OneKeyCash lasts as long as you book at least once every three years, but the booking can't be changed online.[2, 4]

OneKeyCash earned on bookings remains usable provided some eligible booking happens within every 18-month stretch, and Save Your Way OneKeyCash needs one every three years. Promotional OneKeyCash follows its own offer terms and may run out earlier.[1, 2, 4]

Hotels.com's help center says yes, on a Pay Now booking. You won't earn OneKeyCash on the part of the booking paid with OneKeyCash or the coupon.[5]

If you booked a fully refundable rate and cancel before its deadline — in the hotel's local time — you get a full refund to your original payment method. Cancel in Trips with Change or cancel; partially refundable and non-refundable rates can cost some or all of the stay.[8, 9]

Hotels.com credits your card within 24 hours of processing the refund; your bank can take up to 7 days to post it and up to 2 billing cycles to show it on your statement. Gift card payments come back as a new gift card within 4 hours.[10]

Not for new bookings: the Hotel Price Guarantee ended on July 28, 2026. Bookings made before that date can still be claimed by a One Key member up to midnight local time on the day before the stay, with the difference paid in OneKeyCash.[12]
