SiriusXM Promo Codes, Deals & Plan Prices

SiriusXM's headline deals are short intro prices that roll into the full monthly rate. Lasting savings come from the app-only or All Music plan, the $4 student rate, 25% off for the military, and cancelling at least a day before renewal.

Does SiriusXM have promo codes?

On October 17, 2026, SiriusXM's Deals & Offers page showed no promo codes; its discounts were offers you start from each plan's sign-up button: $1 for 3 months on All Music, All Access and All Access (App Only), $1 for 3 months then $4 a month for students, and 25% off for the military. The terms of each of those offers say it can't be combined with any other.[1, 2, 6, 7]

Our verdict

On October 17, 2026, SiriusXM offered a free 3-month Platinum trial on qualifying car radios — no card needed, and it ends by itself — and $1 for 3 months on its main paid plans, which renew at full price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before renewal. For the long run, All Access (App Only) at $11.99 a month costs $14 less than All Access with the car radio ($25.99), students pay $4 a month after their intro, and eligible military members and their families get 25% off.

Ways to save at SiriusXM

Ordered by what each is typically worth to a regular shopper — the biggest saving first.

  1. Take the free 3-month trial before paying anything

3 months of Platinum for $0Low effortOwners of a qualifying inactive car radio

On October 17, 2026, SiriusXM's free-trial page offered Platinum, in the car and on the app, free for 3 months with no credit card required (no end date shown). Its terms say the trial stops at the end of the stated period unless you decide to buy a plan, so there's no renewal to cancel. It works only on inactive radios that SiriusXM decides qualify; the same page lists All Access (App Only) at $0 for 3 months too, but that one takes a card and renews at $11.99 a month.[3]

  2. Start a paid plan at $1 for 3 months, then decide

3 months for $1Low effortNew subscribers and qualifying radios

On October 17, 2026, SiriusXM's plans page showed All Music, All Access and All Access (App Only) each starting at $1 for the first 3 months for new subscribers and qualifying radio IDs, with no end date given. When the 3 months are up, the plan renews by itself at $11.99, $25.99 or $11.99 a month respectively, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. The offer needs a credit card and can't be combined with any other.[1, 9]

    1. Choose the plan on siriusxm.com/plans and write down when your 3 months end.
    2. Before that date, decide whether the full monthly price is worth it.
    3. If not, cancel at least 24 hours ahead of the renewal.
  3. Match the plan to where you actually listen

$11.99 instead of $25.99 a monthLow effortListeners who can play a phone through the car

All Access (App Only) carries everything SiriusXM offers for $11.99 a month after its intro, against $25.99 for All Access with the car radio. SiriusXM says a streaming-only plan still works in the car if you connect your phone to the stereo or use Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. If you want the built-in radio, All Music is $11.99 and you add only the extras you'll use — Sports $8, News $5, Talk $5 a month — though all three together ($29.99) cost more than All Access.[1, 5]

  4. Students: switch to Student Streaming

$1 for 3 months, then $4 a monthSome effortStudents 18+ at accredited US colleges

SiriusXM's Student Streaming Platinum plan costs $1 for the first 3 months, then the student rate — currently $4 a month. You must be at least 18 and enrolled at a US-based, degree-granting, accredited school of higher education, checked through SheerID when you join and every 12 months after. It's sold online only and can't be combined with other offers.[6]

    1. Open the student offer at siriusxm.com/offers/student.
    2. Verify your enrollment through SheerID — it may ask for a school ID or transcript.
    3. Re-verify each year to keep the $4 rate.
  5. Military: claim 25% off for as long as you subscribe

25% off the full priceSome effortMilitary personnel, spouses and dependents

SiriusXM's military offer takes 25% off the current full price of an eligible package and plan for the life of the subscription, and each renewal is billed at 25% off the then-current rate. It covers eligible personnel, spouses and dependents — veterans, retirees, active duty and reserve — and SiriusXM may review documents to confirm eligibility. Fees and taxes still apply, and it can't be combined with other offers.[7]

  6. Adding a radio? Use the SiriusXM Shop offers before December 31

All Access at $4.98 a month, or a $60 gift cardSome effortAnyone activating a new satellite radio

The offer details on the SiriusXM Shop's Onyx EZR page say a new radio activated with All Access is billed $4.98 a month for the first 12 months (the page's banner rounds it to $5; no end date shown on October 17, 2026), then the current $25.99. Buy a new qualifying radio — an Onyx EZR, Onyx Plus or Roady BT, for example — from an authorized retailer by December 31, 2026, activate it by January 31, 2027, keep 60 days of paid service and request it by March 1, 2027, and you get a $60 SiriusXM gift card for subscription fees. Current subscribers can instead get All Access for $98.98 for the first year with a free Onyx EZR, also through December 31, 2026, one per household and not combinable with the $60 card.[14, 15]

6 rules · siriusxm.com, United States

The rules that decide what you pay

What SiriusXM says about cancellation, refunds, automatic renewal, fees, pausing service and plan changes — the details that turn a good deal into a bad one, or the other way round.

Cancellation

At least 24 hours before renewal; it takes effect when the billing period ends.

For subscriptions SiriusXM bills directly, its help page lists three routes: the Subscriptions tab in the Online Account Center, online chat, or a phone call. Plans billed by Apple, Google Play, Roku or T-Mobile are cancelled with that company. A cancellation during a free trial may take effect straight away.[9, 10]

Refunds

Pro-rata refunds only in the first 7 days (monthly) or 30 days (longer plans).

Cancel a monthly audio plan within 7 days of its start date and it ends at once, with a pro-rata refund if you request it; later monthly renewals don't get that window. Quarterly and annual plans have 30 days from the start or from each renewal charge. Otherwise audio subscriptions aren't refunded for the unused part of a period.[9]

Automatic renewal

Intro prices end and the plan renews at the current full rate.

Paid plans — including ones that begin with a free period — renew for the same length until you cancel, charged at the rates in effect at each renewal plus fees and taxes. Before a price rise, SiriusXM tells you when it takes effect, and you can avoid it by cancelling first. Trial subscriptions included with a vehicle purchase or lease don't renew automatically.[9]

Fees

The Music Royalty Fee is inside the advertised price; some radio plans add a $15 activation fee.

SiriusXM's U.S. Music Royalty Fee is 19.98% of satellite plans that include music and 8.8% of streaming plans, and SiriusXM says it is already counted in the prices it advertises. Several plans on its More Plans page, including Platinum and Music Showcase, list a $15 activation fee for inactive radios. The Customer Agreement also allows transfer, late, returned-payment and paper-invoice fees.[4, 9, 11]

Pausing service

Once a calendar year, for up to six months.

A paid subscription can be suspended once in any calendar year for up to six months, with no subscription fees building up and no charge to restore it within that time. Requests can't be made online — you have to call. A suspension doesn't push back the end of a promotional period, and Streaming (app-only) plans can't be suspended.[9, 12]

Plan changes

On monthly plans, downgrades wait for the next period; upgrades apply now.

Changes to a monthly plan take effect at the end of the current period, except upgrades, where SiriusXM charges the difference or applies a non-refundable credit to future renewals. Plans bought through the Apple or Google Play app stores follow each store's own upgrade and downgrade process.[9, 10]

Dec

When to shop at SiriusXM

Sale events from SiriusXM's own pages, each under the months it runs.

  • December

SiriusXM Shop radio offers end December 31

The $60 gift card reward needs a new qualifying radio bought by December 31, 2026, and the $98.98 All Access bundle for current subscribers runs through the same day.[14, 15]

5 catches in the fine print

Watch out for

Where shoppers lose the saving they thought they had.

  1. $1 for 3 months turns into the full rate

After the intro, All Music and All Access (App Only) renew at $11.99 a month and All Access at $25.99 until you cancel. The 7-day refund window covers only a monthly subscription's start, not later renewals, so cancel at least 24 hours before the first full-price charge.[1, 9]

  2. Selling the car doesn't stop the bill

Selling, trading in or losing your vehicle, or simply not listening, doesn't cancel a SiriusXM subscription, and there's no refund for an unused plan. Paid plans bought directly from SiriusXM can generally move to another radio, sometimes for a transfer fee, but trials, IP-only and some promotional plans can't be transferred.[9, 17]

  3. App-store subscriptions miss SiriusXM's discounts

A plan bought through Apple, Google Play, Roku or another outside seller follows that seller's billing and refund rules, can't be added to a SiriusXM account, and doesn't qualify for SiriusXM's discounts. If you later subscribe directly, cancel the outside plan yourself or you'll pay twice.[9]

  4. Returning a radio doesn't cancel its plan

In the SiriusXM Shop, a radio return and its subscription are separate, so cancel the subscription too. Using the prepaid UPS label costs $8, and on bundle offers, cancelling within the first 30 days without sending the radio back brings a $50 charge, unless the offer terms set another amount.[16]

  5. The student rate lapses without re-verification

The $4 student price needs a fresh SheerID check every 12 months. Miss it, or stop being eligible, and the plan renews at the full monthly rate, currently $11.99.[6]

SiriusXM savings FAQ

On October 17, 2026, SiriusXM's Deals & Offers page showed no promo codes; its discounts were offers you start from each plan's sign-up button: $1 for 3 months on All Music, All Access and All Access (App Only), $1 for 3 months then $4 a month for students, and 25% off for the military. The terms of each of those offers say it can't be combined with any other.[1, 2, 6, 7]

After the intro offers, All Music (car and app) is $11.99 a month, All Access is $25.99, and All Access (App Only) is $11.99. All Music add-ons are $8 a month for Sports and $5 each for News and Talk, and SiriusXM Sports Pass is $5 a month or $49 a year after a $0 first month.[1, 5, 8]

Yes. On October 17, 2026, the free-trial page offered Platinum in the car for 3 months free with no credit card, on qualifying inactive radios, and it stops at the end unless you buy a plan. The same page offers All Access (App Only) at $0 for 3 months with a card, renewing at $11.99 a month unless you cancel.[3]

Yes — Student Streaming is $1 for the first 3 months, then the student rate, currently $4 a month. You need to be 18 or older and enrolled at an accredited, degree-granting US school of higher education, verified through SheerID at sign-up and every 12 months; if re-verification fails, the plan renews at the full rate, currently $11.99.[6]

Yes. It takes 25% off the full price of an eligible package and plan for the life of the subscription, with renewals billed at 25% off the then-current rate. It's open to eligible military personnel, spouses and dependents, including veterans, retirees, active duty and reserve, and SiriusXM may ask for documents.[7]

SiriusXM's help center says extra subscriptions on one account can get a reduced rate, as long as at least one subscription is an active, full-price qualifying plan; not every plan qualifies. Keep all your radios on a single account, and expect that changing the number of subscriptions or plans can change what you pay later.[9, 13]

If SiriusXM bills you, use the Subscriptions tab in the Online Account Center, online chat or a phone call, at least 24 hours before your renewal date; service runs to the end of the period you've paid for. If Apple, Google Play, Roku or T-Mobile bills you, cancel with them instead.[9, 10]

Only early on. Under the Customer Agreement, a monthly plan cancelled within 7 days of its start ends immediately with a pro-rata refund if you ask, and quarterly or annual plans get 30 days from the start or from each renewal charge. After those windows, audio subscriptions are non-refundable for the rest of the period.[9]

It's a charge that offsets the music royalties SiriusXM pays: 19.98% of the price of satellite plans with music channels (since February 24, 2026) and 8.8% of streaming plans. SiriusXM says it's included in the prices it advertises, the News, Sports & Talk plan doesn't carry it, and applicable tax is charged based on your address.[5, 11]
