   MasterClass says it occasionally runs promotions on its plans for new and existing members, shown on its homepage or Plans page and emailed to anyone with a free MasterClass account. Its Extended Labor Day 2026 Offer took 50% off eligible annual memberships for new members buying for themselves and for gifts, through an offer code or link on MasterClass.com, and ended on September 10, 2026. That discount covered the first year only and couldn't be combined with any other sale, code or offer.^{[6, 7]}

   1. Create a free account on masterclass.com, which adds you to MasterClass's promotional emails.
   2. Check the homepage and the Plans page for a current offer before you pay.
   3. Buy on MasterClass.com: the 2026 Labor Day offer excluded App Store, Google Play, Roku and Amazon purchases.

2. Buy on the website so the 30-day refund applies

   The 30-Day Satisfaction Guarantee refunds the full price if you're not happy within 30 days of your original transaction, but it covers only first-time purchases made directly on the MasterClass website; memberships bought through Apple, Google Play, Amazon or Roku follow those stores' refund policies. To claim, log in and chat with the Support Team. MasterClass says an approved refund typically takes 5–10 business days to process, and its terms end your access once you're refunded.^{[1, 2, 15]}

3. Ask a member for a 14-day Guest Pass

   MasterClass lets select members send a Guest Pass: 14 days of full access to the library at no charge. You add a payment method when you claim it, and unless you cancel before the 14 days are up, it becomes a paid annual membership at the price shown when you signed up. The Guest Pass terms limit it to people who have never bought the annual membership or taken a trial or introductory offer and who sign up on MasterClass's own website; if a pass does convert, the 30-day guarantee still covers it.^{[10, 11]}

   1. Ask a member to send one through Send a Guest Pass in their profile menu.
   2. Open the link, click Claim Guest Pass, choose a plan and add a payment method.
   3. Cancel in Settings before day 14 if you don't want to keep it.

4. Share one Plus or Premium plan with your household

   On Plus or Premium you can add five extra profiles, six in total, so each person in your household keeps their own progress, watchlist and recommendations. Plus streams on 2 devices at the same time and Premium on 6, and these two plans can download lessons in the iOS and Android apps. On a website subscription, upgrades take effect immediately with the price difference prorated, while downgrades wait for your annual renewal, so you can start on the smaller plan and move up mid-year.^{[4, 12, 13, 14]}

5. Send the invoice to your employer

   You can download a PDF invoice for any MasterClass purchase, renewal or upgrade from Settings > Payment History, and MasterClass says you can use it for reimbursement. If your employer pays for training, ask before you buy; renewal receipts also come in the confirmation email at the start of each billing period.^[17]

MasterClass shows its occasional promotions on its homepage and Plans page and in emails to account holders; its 2026 Labor Day offer worked through an offer code or link and was for new members and gifts. We list only codes MasterClass publishes itself, with their end dates.

1. Renewals can't be refunded

   The 30-day guarantee applies to your first purchase only. If you don't want a second year, switch off auto-renewal before the renewal date; MasterClass's reminder email arrives 30 days ahead.^{[1, 2, 4]}

2. A sale price covers year one only

   Under the Extended Labor Day 2026 terms, a discounted membership renews 365 days after purchase at the then-current full, non-promotional price unless you cancel first. Plan for that second-year charge when you buy on sale.^[7]

3. Gift memberships renew too

   A redeemed gift runs for a year and then renews like any annual membership, and MasterClass names a gift that auto-renewed as one reason for an unexpected charge. Recipients who want only the gift year should turn auto-renewal off in Settings.^{[8, 16]}

4. Cancel-for-me services need your reply

   If you ask Rocket Money, Trim or a similar service to cancel, MasterClass won't act until you confirm from the email address on your account. Watch for its confirmation email, or cancel in Settings yourself.^[3]

5. Cut-price access sites aren't MasterClass

   MasterClass says it doesn't sell memberships or courses through online auctions, course-bundle resellers or independent websites claiming discounted access. Genuine memberships come from masterclass.com, its app, Apple's App Store, Google Play, Amazon or Roku.^[18]
