Audible Promo Codes, Free Trial & Credit Tips

Audible's savings sit inside the membership rather than in coupon codes: a 30-day free trial for new members, annual Premium plans marked Save 16%, a Daily Deal anyone can buy, 2-for-1 credit sales, and 365 days to return a title bought with a credit.

Does Audible have promo codes?

Audible's promo codes come from Audible or its partners for specific offers sent by email or shown on the Audible site, and they're redeemed on the Audible website — not in the app. They can't be transferred to another account. The savings Audible offers directly — the free trial, the Daily Deal and member sales — need no code.[9, 12]

Our verdict

No Audible membership or trial in the last 12 months? Begin with the 30-day free trial. If you'll spend a credit every month, the annual Premium plan — 12 credits for $149.50 — is marked Save 16% against monthly billing, and when you need a break, pause for up to 90 days instead of cancelling, because cancelling forfeits every unused credit.

Ways to save at Audible

Ordered by what each is typically worth to a regular shopper — the biggest saving first.

  1. Start with the 30-day free trial

30 days at $0.00Low effortNo Audible membership or trial in the last 12 months

Standard and Premium both open with a 30-day free trial that carries the same benefits as a paid membership, and on Premium the credit is in your account once your card is authorized; a title bought with a credit stays yours even if you cancel. Audible emails a reminder before the trial ends — cancel before then and you aren't charged; otherwise it renews at the plan's monthly price. Join on the website: signing up in the Android app skips the trial and charges the monthly price at once.[1, 3, 13, 15]

    1. Open Plans & Pricing on audible.com and choose Try for $0.00 on Standard or Premium.
    2. On Premium, spend the trial credit on a title you want to keep.
    3. If you don't want to pay $8.99 or $14.95 a month, cancel from Membership details before day 30.
  2. Pay yearly if you use every credit

12 credits for $149.50, marked Save 16%Low effortListeners who finish a book a month or more

Monthly Premium costs $14.95 for 1 credit or $22.95 for 2. The annual plans put 12 credits ($149.50) or 24 credits ($229.50) in your account up front, and Audible labels both Save 16% — on the 24-credit plan that's under $9.60 a credit. Annual plans can't be paused, and their credits still expire 12 months after they're issued, so it pays only if you'll use them within the year. On October 17, 2026 the plans page also advertised a limited-time $99 for a year of Premium, with the terms not shown on the page, so see whether it's offered to you before paying $149.50.[1, 2, 4, 6]

  3. Pause instead of cancelling

Up to 90 days without paymentsLow effortMonthly members taking a break

Cancelling ends your access to unused credits, but a pause stops payments for 30, 60 or 90 days and keeps your credits until their original expiry dates. You can pause up to three times in 12 months as long as the total stays within 90 days, once you've had 30 days of paid membership. While paused, Premium members can still spend existing credits and keep their member discount; new credits stop until you resume.[6, 7, 8]

    1. Go to Membership details on audible.com or the Membership tab in the app.
    2. Select Pause membership and pick 30, 60 or 90 days.
    3. Resume early whenever you like; billing restarts at your next billing period.
  4. Spend credits on pricey titles and buy cheap ones on sale

Daily Deal; Monthly Deals up to 80% offLow effortPremium members, and anyone buying without a plan

A credit buys any title, whatever its price or length, so it goes furthest on expensive audiobooks. For the rest, look at the Daily Deal — one heavily discounted title a day, open to members and non-members, ending at 11:59 PM PT — and, as a Premium member, at Monthly Deals, where Audible advertises hundreds of titles at up to 80% off non-member prices (the top of the range). Premium members also get a member price below the non-member price on every title, and a book on your Wish List triggers a notification when it goes on sale.[1, 2, 8, 9, 10, 11]

  5. Wait for a 2-for-1 sale to stretch a credit

2 audiobooks for 1 creditSome effortEligible Premium members with a credit available

Audible periodically runs BOGO (2 for 1) sales in which eligible Premium members get two audiobooks for one credit. Eligible members hear about them by email and through banners on the site and in the app, so switch on sales emails in your notification settings if you'd rather not miss one. The sale cart holds two titles unless the sale's own message says otherwise.[9, 10]

Audible promo codes

Codes and offers kept by David Jones, who lists only codes the store makes public.

Audible's promo codes are claim codes for specific offers, sent by Audible or its partners and redeemed on the Audible website; they can't be moved to another account. We list only codes Audible shows publicly on audible.com, with their end dates; the savings on this page come from its own plans, trial and sales.

6 rules · audible.com, United States

The rules that decide what you pay

What Audible says about plans and prices, credits, returns, pausing, cancellation and payment — the details that turn a good deal into a bad one, or the other way round.

Plans and prices

Standard is $8.99 a month; Premium starts at $14.95.

Standard lets you pick 1 audiobook a month that stays playable only while you're a member, and an unused pick doesn't roll over. Premium (formerly Premium Plus) gives 1 credit a month for $14.95 or 2 for $22.95, plus the included Plus Catalog, and titles bought with credits are yours to keep. You can switch plans on the site at any time and keep existing credits until they expire; if you're billed through the App Store or Google Play, the price may differ.[1, 2, 3, 18]

Credits

One credit buys one title and expires 12 months after it's issued.

There's no limit on how many credits you can hold, but each expires 12 months after issue or when you cancel, whichever comes first; credits from an App Store or Google Play membership don't expire. Credits can't be gifted or transferred, though one can buy an audiobook as a gift. Premium members who have run out and have been on the same plan for 30 days can buy extra credits.[4, 8]

Returns

A title bought with a credit can be returned within 365 days for the credit.

You have to be an active Premium member in good standing, and the return is made on the Audible website, not in the app; titles bought through the App Store or Google Play go back through that store. The returned credit expires 12 months after it's reissued, and Audible may limit returns based on your return history. Standard monthly selections can't be returned or exchanged.[3, 5]

Pausing

Up to 90 days in any 12 months, on monthly plans only.

Pick 30, 60 or 90 days, up to three times in 12 months, after at least 30 days of paid membership; annual plans can't be paused. Payments stop and no new credits arrive during the pause. A Premium free trial can be paused for 30 days, which moves the end of the trial back by 30 days.[6]

Cancellation

Cancel online at any time; fees already paid aren't refunded.

Cancel from Membership details on audible.com; memberships billed through Apple or Google have to be cancelled in those stores. At the end of your final billing period you lose unused credits, member discounts and included titles, while anything bought with credits or cash stays in your Library. Audible's Conditions of Use say no refund is given for fees already paid.[7, 14]

Payment

Membership fees go on a credit card.

Audible's Conditions of Use say it accepts only credit cards for membership fees and ask you not to sign up with a debit card. An Amazon Gift Card balance can pay for individual titles on Audible, and for a membership only when you buy it on Amazon.com. When you start a trial or offer, Audible sends your bank an authorization request to check the card.[13, 14, 17]

5 catches in the fine print

Watch out for

Where shoppers lose the saving they thought they had.

  1. Cancelling forfeits unused credits

Every unused membership credit is lost at the end of your final billing period. Spend them before you cancel, or pause instead — a pause keeps them until their original expiry dates.[6, 7]

  2. A promo price keeps running while you're paused

Pausing doesn't extend a reduced-price offer. Pause partway through a 3-month promotion and the discounted months can run out during the pause, so you pay the full price when you resume.[6]

  3. Standard picks aren't yours to keep

Audiobooks chosen with Standard stay playable only while you're a member and are locked after you cancel, until you rejoin. A missed monthly pick doesn't carry over, and picks can't be returned or exchanged.[3, 8]

  4. The Android app skips the free trial

Audible's sign-up help says joining through the Android app charges the regular monthly price straight away, with no free trial. Start on audible.com, where both plans show a 30-day trial.[1, 13]

  5. Deleting the app doesn't cancel

Removing the Audible app leaves the membership running. Cancel from Membership details on audible.com, or in the App Store or Google Play if that's where you're billed.[7]

Yes — 30 days on Standard or Premium, if you haven't been a member or taken a trial in the last 12 months. Audible emails a reminder before it ends; cancel before day 30 and you aren't charged, otherwise it renews at the plan's monthly price.[1, 3, 13]

Standard is $8.99 a month. Premium is $14.95 a month for 1 credit or $22.95 for 2, and annual Premium costs $149.50 for 12 credits or $229.50 for 24.[1, 2]

Yes. Premium credits carry over from month to month and there's no cap on how many you can hold, but each one expires 12 months after it's issued. Unused credits are lost when you cancel, except those from an App Store or Google Play membership.[1, 4]

Premium members can return a title bought with a credit within 365 days of purchase, on the Audible website, and get the credit back. Standard monthly selections can't be returned, and Audible may limit returns based on your return history.[3, 5]

Yes, on monthly plans: 30, 60 or 90 days at a time, up to 90 days in total every 12 months, once you've paid for at least 30 days. Annual plans can't be paused.[6]

Titles bought with credits or cash stay in your Library and can be downloaded again. You lose unused credits, included Plus Catalog titles and Standard monthly picks, which are locked until you rejoin, and fees already paid aren't refunded.[7, 8, 14]

No — Audible is a separate membership, though Prime members get some Audible benefits. In October 2026 audible.com showed a Prime-only deal of $0.99 a month for 4 months plus a $20 Audible credit, renewing at $8.99 a month, ending October 19, 2026.[2, 15]

Every day: the Daily Deal discounts one title for members and non-members alike. Premium members also get Monthly Deals and periodic 2-for-1 sales, and Audible notifies you when a title on your Wish List goes on sale.[9, 10]
