Lyft Promo Codes, Lyft Pink & Price Lock

Lyft promo codes are added in the app's Rewards tab, and each one covers a single ride. Wait & Save, Lyft Pink at $9.99 a month, a $2.99 Price Lock pass for a route you repeat, and DashPass or card credits cut the fare without any code.

Does Lyft have promo codes?

Yes. Lyft promo codes are added in the app's Rewards tab; new US riders can get one at signup that's valid for 14 days, and other promos carry their own expiry dates and ride limits. Lyft's promo page showed no public code on October 17, 2026, so we don't list one.[3, 4]

Our verdict

Before each trip, compare Wait & Save — which Lyft calls its most affordable personal ride — with Standard, and add any promo code in Rewards before you request, since each code covers one ride. If you ride often, Lyft Pink ($9.99 a month or $99 a year) brings free Priority Pickup upgrades when available and 5% off eligible rides, and a $2.99-a-month Price Lock pass holds the fare on a route you ride in the same one-hour window each day, up to $50 of savings a month.

Ways to save at Lyft

Ordered by what each is typically worth to a regular shopper — the biggest saving first.

  1. Choose Wait & Save when you can wait

Lyft's most affordable personal rideLow effortRiders without a tight deadline

Lyft describes Wait & Save as its most affordable personal ride: you lock in a lower price when it's busy, and in return wait longer while Lyft pairs you with a driver suited to your route and pickup spot. It's offered only in certain regions and isn't always available, depending on how many drivers are nearby. Its cancellation clock starts sooner — a fee can apply once 30 seconds have passed since you requested — and the Lyft Pink member discount doesn't apply to it.[2, 5, 10]

    1. Enter your destination and look at the prices of every ride type offered.
    2. Pick Wait & Save if the longer wait works for you.
    3. Decide straight away: cancelling after 30 seconds can cost a fee.
  2. Add promo codes in Rewards before you ride

A discount or credit on one rideLow effortNew riders, and anyone sent a code

Lyft promo codes go into your account under Rewards, and a code must be added before you take the ride for it to count. New US riders can get a promo at signup that's applied at once and lasts 14 days; it needs a standard mobile number and a US payment method, and VoIP numbers can't redeem promos. Each ride discount covers a single ride even if value is left over, and when you hold several, Lyft applies the highest-value one.[3, 4]

    1. Open your profile and select Rewards under Programs.
    2. Tap Enter code +, type the code and apply it.
    3. Check the promo's value, expiry and ride limits in Rewards before you request.
  3. Join Lyft Pink if you ride several times a week

5% off eligible rides, free upgradesLow effortFrequent riders in the US

Lyft Pink costs $9.99 a month or $99 a year and gives free Priority Pickup upgrades where available plus 5% off the non-member price — of Standard, Extra Comfort and XL rides, according to its FAQ and help page. Cancel a ride and rebook within 15 minutes and Lyft returns the fee as a $5 ride credit once the new ride ends, up to 3 times a month; the $20 return fee for a lost item is waived too. A free Priority Pickup upgrade can't be combined with the 5% discount on the same ride, and Pink covers personal rides only.[1, 2, 11, 12]

  4. Lock the price of a route you repeat

Up to $50 a month per passSome effortCommuters in Lyft-operated US cities

A Price Lock pass costs $2.99 a month and fixes the price of standard rides between one pickup and drop-off during a one-hour window you choose each day; if the market rate is lower when you request, you pay that instead. Each pass stops saving once it reaches $50 in a month, and the locked-in price can change at each monthly renewal — Lyft sends the new one 7 days ahead. An unused pass can be cancelled for a refund, and passes work with other Lyft benefits and coupons.[6]

    1. Open Price lock in the Lyft app's main menu.
    2. Confirm the pickup and drop-off and choose your one-hour window.
    3. Check out, then request rides inside that window to get the locked price.
  5. Link DashPass if you already pay for it

5% off rides, 10% off airport tripsLow effortActive DashPass subscribers

Lyft's rewards page says DashPass subscribers who link their Lyft and DoorDash accounts get 5% off on-demand rides in Standard, Extra Comfort, XL, Black or Black SUV and 10% off scheduled airport rides, for up to 4 discounted rides a month in total, plus 2 free Priority Pickup upgrades a month where available. The discounts apply automatically and cover the subtotal only, not fees, taxes or tips, and Lyft says the offers are available to select users as shown in their account.[13]

  6. Pay with a card that earns Lyft credit

Monthly ride credit or 10% offLow effortEligible Mastercard and Chase cardholders

Through January 31, 2027, Lyft gives a $5 credit to riders who take three rides in a calendar month paid with a US-issued World, World Elite or World Legend Mastercard, and World Elite or World Legend cardholders get 10% off scheduled rides to and from US airports where available when the card pays the whole fare directly. Lyft's Chase page lists a $10 monthly ride credit for Chase Sapphire Reserve, Sapphire Reserve for Business and J.P. Morgan Reserve cardmembers through September 2027, not valid on Wait & Save. Mastercard credits expire 30 days after they're awarded, and unused Chase credit expires at the end of the month.[14, 15]

Lyft promo codes

Codes and offers kept by David Jones, who lists only codes the store makes public.

Lyft promo codes are added in the app's Rewards tab and each one covers a single ride; new-rider promos are applied at signup. Lyft's own promo page showed no public code on October 17, 2026, so none is listed here, and personal referral codes are never posted.

6 rules · lyft.com, United States

The rules that decide what you pay

What Lyft says about ride cancellation, scheduled rides, no-shows and waiting, refunds and disputes, damage and cleaning and Lyft Pink cancellation — the details that turn a good deal into a bad one, or the other way round.

Ride cancellation

A fee may apply once 30 seconds have passed after a driver accepts.

Lyft may also charge if you cancel after the driver arrives, more than 30 seconds after requesting a Wait & Save ride, or 3 or more rides within 15 minutes; the fee pays the driver for time and gas and varies with how busy it is. To cancel, edit the ride in the app and tap Cancel ride. If you booked the ride for someone else, any cancellation or no-show fee is charged to you.[5]

Scheduled rides

Free to cancel or edit until 1 hour before pickup.

Inside that hour a cancellation fee applies, and Lyft says scheduled-ride fees vary by ride type. On scheduled rides to the airport in covered US regions, the on-time pickup promise adds $15 in Lyft Credits if the driver arrives more than 10 minutes late and $50 if no driver is matched 10 minutes after pickup time, for at most 1 ride a week and 2 in 30 days.[9]

No-shows and waiting

Wait time fees can start 2 minutes after the car arrives.

Per-minute wait time fees can apply once the car has waited more than 2 minutes at pickup (5 minutes for Black and Black SUV), and a no-show fee may apply if the driver arrived, waited the required time and tried to contact you. At a stop you add, a fee starts 30 seconds after you arrive, and the driver may cancel once 5 minutes have passed.[5, 16, 17]

Refunds and disputes

Charges are non-refundable unless the law requires otherwise, but you can dispute one.

To challenge a fare or a cancellation or no-show fee, open your profile, go to Ride history, pick the ride and tap Dispute ride charge; Ride history also offers Request review if something went wrong on the ride. A pending charge for a cancelled or unmatched ride is only a temporary authorization, which disappears or shows as a refund within 5–7 business days.[5, 7, 18, 19]

Damage and cleaning

Up to $250 if a driver reports damage to the car.

Lyft's help centre lists typical fees of $25 for minor mess such as small spills, mud or animal fur, $75 for moderate damage such as biowaste outside the car, and $150 for damage that needs specialized cleaning or repairs. Lyft emails you with the ride and photos of the damage if you're going to be charged; reply to that email if you think something was missed.[7, 8]

Lyft Pink cancellation

Cancel any time; benefits last until the period ends.

Cancel in the app under Lyft Pink, Manage plan, Cancel plan. The Lyft Pink FAQ says the fee is refunded if you cancel before using any benefits in the current billing cycle, with no partial refunds once you have. Instead of cancelling you can pause for up to 28 days at a time — once per billing cycle on the monthly plan, twice a year on annual plans.[1, 2]

5 catches in the fine print

Watch out for

Where shoppers lose the saving they thought they had.

  1. Pink's discount skips Wait & Save

Lyft Pink's terms leave Shared, Scheduled, Wait & Save and Business Profile rides out of the member discount, along with tips, cancellation fees and damage charges. Compare a discounted Standard ride with Wait & Save before assuming the membership makes Standard the cheaper pick.[2, 11]

  2. A promo is used up after one ride

Lyft's ride discounts are valid for a single ride, and any value left after that ride can't be used again. Whatever the promo doesn't cover goes to your default payment method.[3]

  3. A coupon may not cover the whole fare

Lyft's terms let it take the Service Fee, tolls and other charges out of the fare before the coupon is applied, and coupons can't be combined unless a promotion says so. Tips are charged to your payment method even when credits pay for the ride.[7, 19]

  4. Lyft Cash can switch off card perks

Once you add Lyft Cash or a gift card, Lyft Cash becomes your default payment method automatically. Rides paid partly or fully with Lyft Cash or a gift card miss the Chase $10 monthly credit, and gift-card rides miss Mastercard's 10% airport discount, so switch the default back to your card when you want those perks.[14, 20, 21]

  5. Waiting to request can change the price

Lyft says your final price may differ from the quote if you wait more than 10 seconds before requesting, change the destination or add stops, and higher demand at rush hour, during events or in bad weather can raise prices. Request soon after comparing ride types rather than leaving the screen open.[18]

Lyft savings FAQ

Yes. Lyft promo codes are added in the app's Rewards tab; new US riders can get one at signup that's valid for 14 days, and other promos carry their own expiry dates and ride limits. Lyft's promo page showed no public code on October 17, 2026, so we don't list one.[3, 4]

Go to your profile, select Rewards under Programs, tap Enter code + and apply the code before you request the ride. Lyft applies your available promos to eligible rides automatically; to pick a specific one, tap the payment methods above the Select Lyft button.[3, 4]

Lyft's help centre says it applies the highest-value promo and combines coupons where it can to give the largest discount, with a cap of 10 credits per ride. Its terms add that coupons can't be combined unless a promotion says so, so check each promo's terms in Rewards.[3, 7]

Lyft Pink is $9.99 a month or $99 a year. Lyft Pink All Access, at $199 a year, adds 10% off Black and Black SUV rides and extra bike and scooter perks. Both renew automatically until you cancel, and Lyft Pink is only available in the US.[1, 2, 11]

Lyft's help page says the 5% member discount can be stacked with ride credits and coupons, while the Lyft Pink FAQ says it combines with credits and bike and scooter coupons but not with other percentage-off or dollar-off coupons unless the promotion allows it. The upfront price in the app already includes the member discount.[1, 2]

The Lyft Pink FAQ lists two plans, Lyft Pink and Lyft Pink All Access, with no student version, and Lyft's rider promo page doesn't mention a student offer. Students can use the same savings as other riders: Wait & Save, promo codes and Price Lock.[1, 4]

Lyft's cancellation policy doesn't give one fixed amount: the fee compensates the driver for time and gas and varies with how busy it is. It may apply once 30 seconds have passed since a driver accepted (or since you requested Wait & Save), after the driver arrives, or if you cancel 3 or more rides in 15 minutes.[5]

Open your profile, go to Ride history under Account, select the ride and tap Dispute ride charge at the bottom of the screen. The same steps work for a cancellation or no-show fee you think was charged wrongly.[5, 18]

A $2.99 monthly pass that locks the price of standard rides on one route during a one-hour window each day, available in Lyft-operated US cities. You pay the locked price or the market rate if that's lower, until the pass has saved $50 that month.[6]
