J.Crew Promo Codes & Passport Perks

J.Crew posts its public codes on its own offers page. Between codes, free Passport membership wipes out the $7 shipping fee, and five groups of shoppers can verify for 15% off.

Does J.Crew have promo codes?

Yes. J.Crew posts its public offers on its Promo Codes, Discounts & Coupons page, with terms under Details; on October 16, 2026 that was code EXTRA, an extra 50% off three or more marked sale styles at jcrew.com through October 19. Enter a code in the promo code box at checkout.[6]

Our verdict

Join J.Crew Passport and sign in before you pay: membership is free and turns the $7 standard shipping charge into $0. Then check the Promo Codes, Discounts & Coupons page for the current public code, verify once for 15% off if you're a student, teacher, service member, medical professional or first responder, and take online returns to a J.Crew store rather than paying $7.50 for the prepaid label.

Ways to save at J.Crew

Ordered by what each is typically worth to a regular shopper — the biggest saving first.

  1. Join Passport and sign in before checkout

Free standard shipping, birthday offersLow effortUS residents 18 or older

J.Crew Passport is free, and signed-in members get free standard shipping at jcrew.com instead of the $7 charge. Members also receive a birthday offer of $15 to $25 depending on tier, a $10 half-birthday offer and an anniversary offer. Tiers follow calendar-year spend at J.Crew and J.Crew Factory: Navy from $500, Gold from $1,000, and Gold upgrades the free shipping to expedited.[1, 2, 3]

    1. Create an account on jcrew.com, or sign up with an associate in a J.Crew or J.Crew Factory store.
    2. Add your birth month and day in My Account at least 7 business days before your birthday month.
    3. Sign in before you pay so free shipping is applied automatically.
  2. Check J.Crew's Promo Codes page before you pay

Whatever the current public code takes offLow effortAnyone shopping on jcrew.com

J.Crew lists its current public offers on its Promo Codes, Discounts & Coupons page, with the full terms behind each Details button. On October 16, 2026 it showed code EXTRA: an extra 50% off when one order includes three or more sale styles marked for the offer, on jcrew.com only, through October 19. That code can't be combined with other offers or used in stores, on jcrewfactory.com or on phone orders, and like every J.Crew promotion it can't be added to an order you've already placed.[5, 6]

    1. Open the Offers & Promotions link in the jcrew.com footer.
    2. Press Details on the offer and check which items qualify and when it ends.
    3. Type the code in the promo code box at checkout and confirm the discount before paying.
  3. Verify your status once for 15% off

15% offLow effortStudents, teachers, military, medical professionals, first responders

J.Crew gives 15% off to college students and teachers, and the same rate to first responders, medical professionals and military personnel. You verify through the SheerID links on J.Crew's discount pages, then apply the offer at online checkout or show a valid ID at the register. It works at J.Crew and J.Crew Factory, but not on phone orders or gift cards, and some exclusions apply.[7, 8]

    1. Open Teachers & Students or Medical & Military Personnel in the jcrew.com footer.
    2. Pick your group and complete the SheerID check.
    3. Apply the offer at online checkout, or show your ID in store.
  4. Claim a price adjustment if a full-price item drops

The difference, onceSome effortFull-price purchases from the last 7 days

J.Crew grants a one-time price adjustment on full-price merchandise within seven days of a store purchase or of an online order's ship date, as long as you have the original receipt. Anything bought below full price doesn't qualify, and neither does an order that already used a coupon or promotion.[5]

  5. Trade in kids' clothes or old swimsuits for credit

20% off Crewcuts, or $5 per swimsuitSome effortParents, and anyone with worn-out swimwear

Bring gently used kids' clothing of any brand and size to a participating US J.Crew store and you get a 20% off Crewcuts reward by email; it can be combined with other offers, works on sale items and doesn't expire. Old swimsuits earn $5 of credit each through the Second-Life Swim program, redeemable in steps of $5 to $20 per order, but not on final sale items or prices ending in .99; that program is open only in the continental US. Both programs are run with SuperCircle and exclude J.Crew Factory.[10, 11, 12]

J.Crew promo codes

Codes and offers kept by David Jones, who lists only codes the store makes public.

J.Crew publishes its public codes on its Promo Codes, Discounts & Coupons page, each with its own terms and end date, and we list only those. Birthday offers, cardmember rewards and the 15% status discounts are personal to each shopper, so they aren't listed here.

No public code we could confirm right now

We would rather show nothing than a code that fails at checkout. The ways to save above work without one.

6 rules · jcrew.com, United States

The rules that decide what you pay

What J.Crew says about shipping, returns, final sale, exchanges, promotions and J.Crew Credit Card — the details that turn a good deal into a bad one, or the other way round.

Shipping

Free standard shipping for signed-in Passport members; $7 for everyone else.

Standard delivery takes 3 to 6 business days; expedited costs $17 (2 to 3 business days), overnight $25 and Saturday delivery $35. The rates are flat per shipping address, and gift card purchases never ship free. In select markets, in-store pickup has no shipping charge, but the order must be collected within 7 days with the pickup email and a government photo ID.[3]

Returns

Request a return within 30 days of purchase, with proof of purchase.

Items must be unworn, unwashed and undamaged (or defective). J.Crew's prepaid label deducts $7.50 from the refund whatever the number of items; online and phone orders shipped to a US address can instead go back to any US J.Crew store. Refunds go to the original payment, and gift returns come back as a J.Crew gift card.[4, 5]

Final sale

Some items can't be returned or exchanged at all.

Monogrammed, personalized, lingerie, vintage, altered and final-sale items are excluded, as are swimsuits without their hygienic liner. Marketplace items go back to the vendor, not to J.Crew stores or its warehouse.[4]

Exchanges

Free, but only for another size of the same item.

Exchanges cover online purchases swapped for the same style number and color in a different size; J.Crew's FAQ limits them to full-price orders. Final sale, Marketplace and monogrammed items can't be exchanged.[4, 5]

Promotions

A code has to be used when you order, not afterwards.

Promotions and coupons can't be applied to previous purchases, and an order placed with a coupon or promotion isn't eligible for a later price adjustment. Each offer sets its own stacking rule: the EXTRA sale code can't be combined with other offers, while the new-cardmember 20% can be combined with one other offer.[5, 6, 9]

J.Crew Credit Card

20% off the first purchase, then points on card spending.

Approved applicants get an extra 20% off their first purchase when the new card is the only payment; phone orders, Madewell styles, third-party brands and gift cards are excluded. Cardmembers start at Navy and earn 2 points per $1 at J.Crew and J.Crew Factory (3 at Gold), with each 200 points becoming a $5 reward that expires 90 days after issue. The card has no annual fee and requires credit approval.[1, 2, 9]

5 catches in the fine print

Watch out for

Where shoppers lose the saving they thought they had.

  1. Free shipping needs you signed in

Passport members who aren't paying with a J.Crew card must be signed in at the moment of purchase, and the benefit can't be added to an order afterwards.[2, 3]

  2. A return cancels the reward you used

When you return an item, any reward applied to that purchase is forfeited. A reward is also used up in full even if your cart total is lower than its value.[2, 4]

  3. Final-sale pieces can't come back

The EXTRA code's terms repeat that final-sale items can't be returned or exchanged. Check how each sale style is marked before you build a three-item order around the code.[4, 6]

  4. Only cardmembers still earn points

Passport stopped awarding points on 1/1/25 to members without a J.Crew Credit Card or Mastercard. Everyone else gets offers, not points.[1]

  5. J.Crew and J.Crew Factory returns don't mix

Items can only be returned to the brand they were bought from, so a J.Crew order can't be returned at a J.Crew Factory store, or the other way round.[5]
