   Gap Good Rewards members were moved into Encore, one free program shared by Gap, Old Navy, Banana Republic and Athleta. At Gap, being signed in is what brings free basic shipping once an order reaches $50 (counted after discounts, before tax) and no charge for mail returns; without an account, each return package costs $6. Every $1 spent also earns 5 points.^{[1, 2, 3]}

   1. Join on gap.com or in a store; it's open to US residents aged 16 or older, with no purchase needed.
   2. Sign in before checkout online, or give your phone number at the till in store.
   3. Free shipping is applied at checkout on its own — there's no code to enter.

   Gap advertises its current event in the banner at the top of gap.com, and it moves fast: between October 5 and 12, 2026 it showed Gap Days (50% off your purchase, sale items included), The Long Weekend Event (40–60% off select fall styles) and Friends & Family (40% off everything except collaborations, online and in stores). 3. Spend your points before they lapse

   Points turn into money off at $1 per 500, at Gap or any of its sister brands, up to $2,000 in one transaction. Online, choose how much to apply in the Points & Rewards section of your bag; in store, tell the associate. Points can't pay for gift cards, shipping, tax or Clearance Center purchases, and they expire if your account goes 12 months without earning or redeeming.^{[1, 2]}

4. Reach Premier and pick your own sale day

   Members who spend $350 in a calendar year at Gap, Old Navy, Banana Republic, Athleta or the Factory stores move up to Premier, and keep it through the following year. Premier brings a Create Your Own Sale Day with 15% off once a year — usable once at each brand, online or in store — a birthday bonus for one family member as well as you, and returns for up to 45 days, as merchandise credit after day 30.^{[1, 2, 4]}

   1. Shop signed in, or give your phone number in store, so every purchase counts toward the $350.
   2. Once you're Premier, open the Encore Offers tab in your account and choose View Code.
   3. Use the code at checkout online, or show it to an associate in store.

   The Gap Encore Credit Card is issued by Barclays and subject to credit approval. In October 2026 gap.com offered 20% off your first purchase with a new card: the code lasts 14 days from account opening, the new card must be the only payment, and it can be combined with other eligible offers. Cardmembers earn 25 points per $1 at Gap Inc. brands, get free standard shipping from $35, a 20% sale day once a year and up to 60 days for returns (as credit after day 30).^{[1, 2, 4]}

Gap announces its events and any public code in the banner at the top of gap.com; Encore offers such as the Create Your Own Sale Day code sit in each member's own account. We list only the public ones, with their end dates.

1. A digital wallet can cost you the $35 free-shipping perk

   Cardmembers' free shipping on orders of $35–$49.99 doesn't apply when the Encore Credit Card is used through Apple Pay, Google Pay or another digital wallet. Pay with the card itself, or reach $50.^[1]

2. PayPal, Klarna or Afterpay cut your card points

   Even with your Gap Inc. credit card behind them, purchases paid through Afterpay, Klarna, PayPal or TikTok earn 5 points per $1 (10 on World and World Elite Mastercards) instead of the cardmember 25.^[2]

3. Late returns come back as store credit

   Premier and cardmember windows stretch to 45 and 60 days, but anything returned after day 30 is refunded on a Merchandise Return Card, not to your payment. The longer windows need you to have been signed in or to have given your phone number, and cover purchases from Feb 24, 2026.^{[1, 3]}

4. A promo discount doesn't follow you to a different style

   Items bought with a promo code or discount can be exchanged for the same style in another size or color. Switch to a different style and the discount can't be transferred.^[3]

5. Encore Market redemptions are final

   Points spent on products, offers or experiences in the Encore Market can't be refunded, and those items can't be returned or exchanged.^{[1, 3]}
