Canva Promo Codes & Free Pro Access
Canva Free costs nothing, and K–12 teachers, their invited students and registered nonprofits get premium features free. Paying users get one trial per account and payment method, can pause a plan for three months and enter Canva's coupon codes at checkout.
Does Canva have promo codes?
Yes. Canva issues its own coupon codes for Pro and Business, entered in the Coupon code field at checkout or on canva.com/redeem, and it names its official social media accounts, emails and newsletters as where genuine promotions appear. Canva's Pro page showed no public code when we read it on October 17, 2026, so we list none.[1, 8, 9]

Our verdict
Before paying, see whether a free route fits you: Canva Education for eligible K–12 teachers and their invited students, Canva Nonprofits for registered charities (Pro features for one team of up to 50 users), or Canva for Campus if your college offers it. Paying yourself? The free trial is granted once per account and per payment method, and since Canva says subscriptions aren't refundable in most cases, pausing for three months costs less than paying through a quiet spell.

Ways to save at Canva
Ordered by what each is typically worth to a regular shopper — the biggest saving first.
Start with Canva Free
Canva's Pro page says Canva is always free for every individual: Canva Free lets you design with a library of free templates and content. Upgrading to Pro adds premium features such as Magic Resize, Background Remover and the premium content library. If the free library covers what you make, there's no plan to buy.[1]
K–12 teachers: claim Canva Education
Canva Education is free for eligible K–12 teachers and their students, and Canva says most of its premium features are included. Signing up with a recognized school email domain gives access straight away; otherwise you upload proof, and Canva's eligibility page says US teachers only need a copy of their teaching license and that uploads are reviewed within 48 hours. Access lasts while you stay eligible, with re-verification every 3 years, and an existing Canva account keeps its designs when it moves over.[3, 4, 22]
- Sign up on Canva's Education page with your school email, or your school or district's Clever, Microsoft or Google account.
- Select Teacher and enter your school's details.
- If asked, upload your teaching license; then invite students from Settings.
Registered nonprofits: apply for Canva Nonprofits
Canva Nonprofits gives approved organizations every Canva Pro premium feature plus team tools, free, for one team of up to 50 users. In the US that means registration as a 501(c)(3), independence from government and no commercial profit motive; other 501(c) types, schools, political groups, for-profits (B-Corps included) and grant-making foundations are excluded. Goodstack verifies applications, and Canva notes that meeting the criteria doesn't guarantee approval. Beyond 50 people, extra seats are 50% off Canva Enterprise.[6, 7]
- Read Canva's nonprofit eligibility guidelines and its country eligibility list.
- Gather proof of nonprofit registration and your governing documents.
- Apply from the Canva Nonprofits page and wait for the review.
College students: check for Canva for Campus
Canva Education doesn't extend to colleges, but universities can buy Canva for Campus, and students at those schools may get Pro and premium features for free. Try logging in to Canva with your university email, or ask student services or IT whether the school has it; if not, Canva Free is still open to you. School access can end when you graduate, so copy your designs to a personal account first.[4, 5]
- Log in to Canva with your university or college email address.
- No change? Ask student services or IT whether the school offers Canva for Campus.
- Before graduating, copy your designs to a personal account.
Try Pro or Business free, and note the end date
Canva offers free trials of Canva Pro and Canva Business, granted once per Canva account and once per payment method. The end date appears on your Billing page and Canva emails a reminder before it; unless you cancel first, the trial turns into a paid plan for the next billing cycle. Start a trial without entering payment details and it simply ends with no charge.[2, 10, 13]
- Select Start your free trial or Upgrade on the Canva homepage.
- Find the trial end date next to your plan in Settings, under Billing.
- Cancel a day or more ahead if you won't keep it: Canva bills on UTC, so a charge can land a day early.
Redeem a Canva-issued coupon code
Canva's coupon codes for Pro and Business go in the Coupon code field on the plan-selection screen during checkout, or on canva.com/redeem, on the web or mobile web, for recurring monthly or yearly plans. Canva lists its official social media accounts, emails and newsletters as the channels for genuine promotions. If you already have an active plan, a code can only be used once the current billing period ends, and some codes expire.[8, 9]
- Start an upgrade and pick Coupon code, or open canva.com/redeem while logged in to the right account.
- Paste the code, then select Apply or Redeem my coupon.
- Check that the discount shows on the plan price before you pay.

Canva promo codes
Codes and offers kept by David Jones, who lists only codes the store makes public.
Canva issues its own coupon codes for Pro and Business, redeemed at checkout or on canva.com/redeem, and announces genuine promotions through its official social accounts, emails and newsletters. We list a code only when Canva shows it publicly on canva.com; its Pro page showed none on October 17, 2026.
No public code we could confirm right now
We would rather show nothing than a code that fails at checkout. The ways to save above work without one.
6 rules · canva.com, United States
The rules that decide what you pay
What Canva says about billing, cancellation, refunds, free trial, pausing and price changes — the details that turn a good deal into a bad one, or the other way round.
Billing
Monthly or yearly, renewing automatically.
Pro and Business are billed monthly or yearly and renew at the end of each period unless you cancel or pause, and Canva's terms say it notifies you before a renewal. Pricing can vary by location and is based on the billing information you give at purchase. You can switch between monthly and yearly under Settings and Billing if you subscribed on a computer or mobile browser with a saved payment method.[13, 14, 15, 21, 23]
Cancellation
Cancel any time; paid features last until the period ends.
On the web, go to Settings, then Billing, select Cancel plan and finish with Cancel subscription; a confirmation email follows. Plans bought through the App Store or Google Play are cancelled there, and uninstalling the app doesn't cancel them. Your designs stay available on Canva Free, and while the plan is still active you can undo the cancellation from the Billing page.[10, 13]
Refunds
Not refundable in most cases, though every request is reviewed.
Canva's Terms of Use say fees already paid aren't refunded unless the law requires it, and its help center says it looks at each request individually. Approved refunds take 5–10 business days to a credit card, 3–5 to PayPal and up to 20 for other methods. App Store subscribers have to ask Apple.[12, 13]
Free trial
Charged at the end unless you cancel first.
Canva reserves the right to set who qualifies for a trial and how long it lasts, and the end date appears on your Billing page. A trial started without payment details ends on its own with no charge. Ending a trial early starts the paid plan and charges your card straight away, and the trial days you had left are lost.[2, 13, 20]
Pausing
Three months with no charges, instead of cancelling.
Select Cancel plan, then I want to pause my subscription; the pause begins when the current billing period ends and the plan restarts by itself after three months, with email reminders first. Premium features pause too. Annual plans can be paused only when renewal is less than two months away, and the option isn't offered for iOS App Store subscriptions.[10, 11]
Price changes
An increase waits for your next renewal.
If Canva raises your plan's price, the new price applies from your next renewal or 30 days after notice, whichever is later, and you can cancel rather than pay it. Existing Canva Teams subscribers keep their current pricing, including when they add members, but Teams is closed to new sign-ups.[13, 18]
5 catches in the fine print
Watch out for
Where shoppers lose the saving they thought they had.
Inviting a teammate switches Pro to Business
Inviting someone to your team while on Canva Pro changes the plan to Canva Business, and billing follows Business pricing from then on. Cancelling Business later doesn't bring Pro back; you'd have to subscribe to Pro again at its current rate.[16, 19]
A cancelled Canva Teams plan is gone for good
Teams is no longer sold, so once an existing Teams plan is cancelled it can't be restarted, and the team workspace moves to the free plan. The alternatives are Pro for solo use or Business for teams.[10, 18]
The charge comes a day early
Canva bills on GMT and charges a day before your billing date, so a monthly plan due on the 31st is charged on the 30th. Cancel or pause with time to spare before the date on your Billing page.[15, 16]
Cheap lifetime Canva plans aren't real
Canva says it doesn't offer lifetime plans, and plans bought from unauthorized resellers can get an account downgraded, suspended or terminated, designs included. It doesn't refund purchases made through such sellers.[9]
Empty Business seats still cost money
On Canva Business plans billed by seat, a seat is charged at the next bill even if the invitation hasn't been accepted, and removing a member or cancelling an invite doesn't remove the seat. Lower the count under Settings, People, Manage seats before your billing date.[23]
