Apple Promo Codes & Student Discount

Apple doesn't hand out public promo codes; the savings sit in its own programs: education pricing, Certified Refurbished stock with a one-year warranty, Trade In credit, 10% off for the military, and a refund if Apple cuts a price within 14 days.

Does Apple have promo codes?

Not public ones. Apple's Payment & Pricing help sends anyone looking for promotions, rebates and coupons to its Offers page, which on October 16, 2026 listed free months of Apple services with eligible new devices rather than codes. Lower prices at Apple come through its programs instead: education pricing, Certified Refurbished, Trade In and the military discount.[1, 2]

Our verdict

College students, their parents and educators should buy through the Apple Education Store once UNiDAYS confirms they qualify; everyone else can start with Certified Refurbished — up to 15% off, with Apple's one-year warranty — and a Trade In estimate for the old device. If Apple lowers the price of an Apple-branded product within 14 days of delivery, ask for the difference; sales events like Black Friday don't count.

Ways to save at Apple

Ordered by what each is typically worth to a regular shopper — the biggest saving first.

  1. Shop the Apple Education Store if you qualify

Education pricing on Mac, iPad and moreLow effortCollege students, their parents, educators

Apple's education pricing covers current and newly accepted college students, parents buying for them, and faculty, staff and homeschool teachers at every grade level. Eligibility is confirmed through UNiDAYS before checkout, and if you sign in with your Apple Account first it holds for a full year. Eligible products can include Mac, iPad and Apple Watch (not Apple Watch Hermès), and Apple Card Monthly Installments still work with the education discount.[1, 7, 12]

    1. Go to the Apple Education Store at apple.com/us-edu/store.
    2. Sign in with your Apple Account and confirm your eligibility through UNiDAYS.
    3. Order there — education prices only apply to orders placed in the US Education Store.
  2. Check Certified Refurbished before buying new

Up to 15% off, one-year warrantyLow effortAnyone who doesn't need the newest model

Apple's Certified Refurbished products go through full functional testing, get genuine Apple replacement parts where needed, and arrive in a new white box with all their accessories and cables; refurbished iOS devices such as iPhone also get a new battery and outer shell. Every one carries Apple's standard one-year limited warranty, with free shipping and returns. Apple advertises savings of up to 15% — the top of the range — so compare the refurbished price with the new one before you decide.[8]

  3. Trade in your old device toward the new one

Credit or an Apple Gift CardSome effortOwners of eligible Apple, Samsung or Google devices

Apple Trade In accepts many Apple and third-party devices, including Samsung and Google smartphones, online or in an Apple Store. Its value table lists up to $885 for an iPhone 17 Pro Max and up to $1,315 for a MacBook Pro — the best case, since the amount depends on condition, year and configuration. Pay in full and the credit goes back to your payment method once Apple has received and inspected the device; choose monthly payments and the estimate comes off the price straight away. A device with no trade-in value is recycled for free.[9]

    1. Get an estimate at apple.com/shop/trade-in, describing the device's condition accurately.
    2. Add the trade-in when you order the new device.
    3. Ship or drop off the old one within 14 days of receiving the new one.
  4. Military and veterans: shop the Veterans and Military store

10% offLow effortUS military, Guard, Reserve, veterans and their households

Apple gives a 10% discount to current and veteran members of the US Military, National Guard and Reserve, and to immediate family members living in the same household, after an ID.me check. The price applies only inside that special storefront — orders in the regular online store or an Apple Store don't get it — and Apple Card Monthly Installments and Apple Upgrade can't be used there.[10]

  5. Ask for the difference if Apple cuts the price

Refund or credit of the price dropLow effortAnyone who bought an Apple-branded product from Apple

Under Apple's US sales policy, if Apple lowers the price of an Apple-branded product within 14 calendar days of the day you received it, you can ask for a refund or credit of the difference at an Apple Store or on 1-800-MY-APPLE, within 14 days of the price change. Limited-time price cuts and special sales events such as Black Friday are excluded, the protection is capped at 10 units of a product, and Apple may ask you to show you still have it.[6]

  6. Pay with Apple Card for 3% Daily Cash

3% back on purchases at AppleSome effortShoppers open to a new credit card

Apple Card pays 3% Daily Cash on everything bought at Apple, from devices and cases to App Store purchases and Apple services. Picking Apple Card Monthly Installments at checkout spreads an eligible product over monthly payments at 0% APR, with the 3% paid up front. The card is issued by Goldman Sachs Bank USA and needs credit approval, and accepting an approved card brings a hard inquiry on your credit.[11, 12]

Codes and offers kept by David Jones, who would list a code here only if the store published one.

Apple's help pages send shoppers looking for promotions, rebates and coupons to its Offers page, which on October 16, 2026 listed free months of Apple services with new devices — not promo codes. We'd list an Apple code only if Apple published one itself.

6 rules · apple.com, United States

The rules that decide what you pay

What Apple says about shipping, returns, refunds, exchanges, education purchase limits and order changes — the details that turn a good deal into a bad one, or the other way round.

Shipping

Standard delivery is free on every online order.

In-stock iPhone, iPad, Mac, AirPods and Apple Watch can come next day for free, and almost everything else gets free two-day delivery; timing depends on your address and when you order. In most metros a two-hour courier costs $9, but not for customized Macs, engraved products or orders paid with financing or by bank transfer. Apple ships within the 50 states and Puerto Rico and doesn't deliver to P.O. boxes.[3, 4]

Returns

14 calendar days from the day you receive the item.

Print a free return label from your Order Listing page or take the item to any US Apple Store, packed with every cord, adapter and document it came with. Opened software, software downloads, Apple Gift Cards and Apple Developer products can't be returned, and Apple products bought from other retailers go back to those retailers.[4, 5]

Refunds

Card refunds go to your bank within five business days of Apple receiving the return.

Anything paid with an Apple Gift Card is refunded as an emailed Apple Gift Card, and Apple Account balance goes back to the balance. Returns paid in cash over $750 are refunded by a check mailed within 10 business days, and returns with a gift receipt get an Apple Gift Card.[5, 6]

Exchanges

Swap items at any US Apple Store, subject to stock.

Engraved items and custom-configured Macs can't be exchanged in a store — they can only be returned, with the refund going to the payment method you used. Online orders that arrive damaged or wrong can be returned at any US Apple Store or through Apple's customer service line.[5]

Education purchase limits

Education prices come with a yearly quota per person.

Each year you can buy one MacBook, one desktop, one Mac mini, one display, two iPads, one Apple Watch and two accessories at education prices, counted across online, Apple Store and campus reseller purchases. Apple audits these orders and can charge the difference from the public price if the conditions weren't met.[7]

Order changes

Cancel online only while the item still says Processing.

Open your Order Listing page, pick the item and choose Cancel Item before it ships: a cancelled delivery isn't billed, and for a cancelled pickup that was already charged, Apple starts the refund as soon as you cancel. Once you can't cancel, return the item instead.[13]

When to shop at Apple

  • Jul–Sep

College Student Offer (Back to School)

July 16 to September 24, 2026: qualified education buyers got an Apple Gift Card with an eligible MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, iPad Air or iPad Pro. Returning the computer or iPad without the gift card means its value comes off your refund.[15]

5 catches in the fine print

Watch out for

Where shoppers lose the saving they thought they had.

  1. Installments are 0% — tax and shipping aren't

With Apple Card Monthly Installments, sales tax and shipping are charged at the card's variable APR, 17.74% to 27.99% for new accounts as of October 1, 2026. Paying for an eligible product in one go on Apple Card also puts it on the variable APR, so pick Monthly Installments at checkout.[11]

  2. A trade-in can be revalued

The old device has to reach Apple within 14 days of your new one arriving, and if its condition doesn't match your description Apple offers a revised value. Sales tax may still be charged on the full price of the new device, and returning the new device cancels the trade-in.[9]

  3. Military pricing stays in its own storefront

The 10% Veterans and Military price isn't applied to orders in the regular online store or at an Apple Store, and you can't pay for it with Apple Card Monthly Installments.[10]

  4. Free service trials turn into paid plans

The free months of Apple services that come with a new device renew automatically. The Apple TV offer, for example, has to be claimed within 3 months of setting up the device and then continues at $14.99 a month until you cancel in Settings.[2, 14]

  5. Remove anti-theft locks before a return

Apple may refuse a return or exchange if the product's security features for loss or theft are switched on and the person returning it can't turn them off.[6]
