Dell Coupon Codes, Discounts & Price Match

Dell's discount programs work without a code: verified students, teachers, military and seniors get member pricing in the cart, Dell Rewards pays 3% back, Dell Outlet sells refurbished PCs with the new-PC warranty, and Dell refunds Dell.com price drops within 30 days.

Does Dell have coupon codes?

Dell's main discounts don't need a public code: verified member discounts apply in the cart, and Dell Rewards members find benefit coupon codes in their own account. Dell Outlet says it runs limited-time coupon codes on its Outlet deals page, and those work only on Outlet orders.[1, 2, 9]

Our verdict

Verify your member status and join Dell Rewards before you add anything to the cart: students, teachers, military, first responders and medical workers get up to 10% off eligible items, and Rewards pays 3% back on the pre-tax price. Keep your invoice date in mind — if Dell.com lowers the price within 30 days, ask for the difference — and look at Dell Outlet first for refurbished PCs with the same warranty as new.

Ways to save at Dell

Ordered by what each is typically worth to a regular shopper — the biggest saving first.

  1. Verify your member status before you check out

Up to 10% off eligible itemsLow effortStudents, teachers, military, first responders, medical workers, seniors 60+

Dell's member discounts are applied automatically in the cart once you've signed in, joined Dell Rewards and verified your status with SheerID, which Dell says is usually almost instant. Students, teachers, military, first responders and medical workers get up to 10% off, members of partner associations 5%, and shoppers aged 60 or older have their own senior discount. Each program covers up to two products per order and two orders a year, and leaves out limited-quantity deals, clearance, warranties and gift cards.[1, 3, 4, 5]

    1. Sign in to your Dell account, or create one, and tick the Dell Rewards box.
    2. Open the Membership tab and complete the SheerID verification for your group.
    3. Add eligible items and check that the discount shows in the cart before you pay.
  2. Join Dell Rewards before you buy

3% back, more during promotionsLow effortAnyone 18 or older buying for home or a small business

Dell Rewards is free and pays 3% back on the pre-tax price of eligible Dell.com purchases, in points worth $1 per 100, typically posted within 30 business days of the ship date. Dell runs limited-time boosts — in October 2026, 9% back on PC accessories through October 30. Orders placed before you join earn nothing, and rewards only post if your billing email is the one you registered for Rewards.[1, 2, 14]

  3. Check Dell Outlet before buying new

Outlet prices, with the new-PC warrantyLow effortLaptops, desktops and monitors

Dell Outlet sells three grades: New & Unused (sealed or open-box, never used), Like New refurbished, and Scratch & Dent, refurbished units with cosmetic marks that Dell says never affect the screen, keyboard lettering, touchpad or palm rest. Outlet PCs carry the same limited hardware warranty as new systems, while Outlet monitors come with 90 days. Shipping is free with no minimum, returns are accepted within 30 days of the invoice date, and there's a limit of 5 items per customer.[9, 10, 11]

  4. Claim the 30-Day Price Guarantee or a competitor match

The price difference, refundedSome effortPersonal purchases on Dell.com

If the same product shows a lower price on Dell.com within 30 days of your invoice, Dell refunds the difference. Before you buy, a Dell sales expert can also match a lower price advertised by one of 14 named retailers, including Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, HP and Lenovo, and within 30 days after buying you can claim it through Order Support; for PCs the match is capped at 10% of Dell's price. Each product gets one approved request, and Outlet, clearance and customizable configurations are excluded.[8]

    1. Save the link to the lower price on Dell.com or on one of the listed retailers' sites.
    2. Before buying, share it with Dell by chat or phone; after buying, send it through the Order Support portal.
    3. Dell checks that the specs match and refunds the difference.
  5. Students: ask Dell Outlet sales for the student discount

An extra 10–15% off select Outlet PCsSome effortStudents with an academic email or an acceptance letter

Dell Outlet runs its own student program, separate from the Dell.com student discount: an extra 10% off Inspiron and Dell PCs and an extra 15% off lines such as XPS, Latitude, Dell Pro and Alienware. It's given only through Outlet Sales by phone (888-518-3355) or chat, Monday to Friday, once in any 12-month period, and can't be combined with other offers or used on the main Dell store.[12]

6 rules · dell.com, United States

The rules that decide what you pay

What Dell says about shipping, returns, refunds, price match, Dell Rewards and coupons and discounts — the details that turn a good deal into a bad one, or the other way round.

Shipping

Free standard delivery on everything, with no minimum.

Dell Rewards members also get free expedited delivery on eligible orders, available in the continental US except Alaska and not on some monitors and batteries. Expedited and express delivery apply only to items that ship within 24 hours and aren't offered to APO/FPO, Alaska or Hawaii addresses; 2-Day Delivery covers select products and zip codes for orders placed before 2 pm Central.[2, 6]

Returns

30 days from the invoice date, not the delivery date.

Start the return at dell.com/orders to get a return authorization (CRA) number; Dell must then receive the item within 30 days, in its original packaging and as-new condition. Consumers buying for personal use get a free return label and no restocking fee, while other permitted returns may carry a 15% fee. Gift cards, customized products, enterprise products and most software can't be returned.[7]

Refunds

Up to 10–15 business days after Dell receives the return.

The money goes back to your original payment method. If the purchase came with a free item or gift card, Dell may deduct its value when you return only the main product, and any rewards the order earned are taken back — which can leave your Rewards balance negative.[2, 7]

Price match

One approved request per product, for personal purchases only.

The 30-Day Price Guarantee and the Competitor Price Match cover purchases up to $10,000 and refund the difference at most five times per customer. Prices from paid clubs such as Costco and Sam's Club, marketplace sellers, flash sales, clearance and in-store-only offers aren't matched, and a matched item can't also take a coupon or member discount.[8]

Dell Rewards

Rewards expire at the end of the sixth month after you earn them.

Points earned in January expire on July 31, those from February on August 31, and so on; expired points can't be reinstated. Rewards are calculated before tax and spent at checkout like a payment method, but they can't be earned or used on Dell Outlet or Premier orders, or used to buy gift cards.[2]

Coupons and discounts

Member discounts don't stack with other Dell coupons.

Student, military and other member discounts can be combined with select offers but not with other Dell coupons, and the senior discount can't be combined with most other coupons. Dell Outlet coupons work only on the Outlet site and have to be applied after each system rather than at the end of the order; coupons for the main Dell site can't be used there.[1, 3, 5, 9]

5 catches in the fine print

Watch out for

Where shoppers lose the saving they thought they had.

  1. The return clock starts at your invoice

Dell counts the 30 days from the invoice date, not from delivery, so a slow delivery leaves you less time. Start a return early: once Dell authorizes it, the item must reach Dell within 30 days.[7]

  2. Savings are measured from Dell's own estimate

Dell's promotional savings are referenced off an "Estimated Value", its own estimate built from industry data such as third-party retailers' prices, which Dell notes may not be based on actual sales. Compare final prices, not the size of the discount.[13]

  3. No-interest financing is deferred interest

Dell Pay Credit's no-interest-if-paid-in-full plans charge interest from the purchase date if the balance isn't cleared within the promotional period; new accounts had a 35.99% purchase APR as of April 2026. Refurbished and used purchases don't qualify for these promotions.[3]

  4. Returning an order takes back its rewards

Rewards earned on a returned purchase are removed, and if you've already spent them, the amount is deducted from your balance, which can go negative until future earnings cover it.[2, 7]

  5. Outlet orders skip Rewards and price match

Dell Outlet purchases neither earn nor accept Dell Rewards, and Dell's price-match terms list Outlet products as excluded. Outlet PCs keep the new-system warranty, but Outlet monitors get 90 days.[2, 8, 11]
