American Eagle Promo Codes & Real Rewards

1. Join Real Rewards and sign in before you pay

   4% back in points, free shipping from $75Low effortAnyone shopping AE or Aerie in the US

   Real Rewards costs nothing, and creating an ae.com account enrolls you automatically. Level 1 members earn 10 points per $1, and every 1,250 points become a $5 reward — AE puts that at 4% back — which you can use at AE and Aerie, online or in stores. Online, points only count if you're logged in before you complete the purchase.^{[3, 4]}

   1. Create an ae.com account, or sign in to the AE + Aerie app.
   2. Stay signed in through checkout so the points and member shipping apply.
   3. In stores, show your rewards card on your phone or give your phone number or email.

2. Shop the marked-down sales — no code needed

   Sale prices as marked, plus your rewardsLow effortOnline shoppers

   AE lists its live sales on its Promotion and Discount Information page and in the Today's Offers panel, where each is marked No code required. In mid-October 2026 that meant 30–40% off AE and 60% off AE clearance. The terms say these sales are online for US customers, skip gift cards and third-party items, and can be combined with other discount codes — so a Real Rewards reward still applies on top.^{[1, 2, 4]}

3. Ask for a price adjustment if the price drops

   The difference, within 14 daysLow effortAnyone who paid full price

   If American Eagle, Aerie or Offline lowers the price of something you bought at full price, you get one price adjustment per item within 14 days, with the original proof of purchase. Items bought on sale or with a coupon or promotion don't qualify — but paying with a Real Rewards reward doesn't count against you.^[8]

   1. Keep the receipt or order email.
   2. Check the item's price on ae.com during the 14 days after you buy.
   3. Visit an AE store or contact customer service to claim the difference.

4. Collect the app bonus and the birthday reward

   250 points plus a $5 birthday rewardLow effortReal Rewards members

   AE gives 250 Real Rewards points for signing in to the AE + Aerie app — a fifth of the way to a $5 reward. Every member, whatever the level, also gets a $5 birthday reward for one purchase during their birthday month, based on the birthday saved in the account.^{[3, 4, 5, 11]}

5. Bring old jeans to a store for $10 off

   $10 off with full-price AE jeansSome effortReal Rewards members buying jeans in store

   Real Rewards members who donate at least one pair of jeans to Cotton Blue Jeans Go Green at an American Eagle or Aerie store get $10 off a purchase that includes a pair of full-price AE jeans. It's one per customer and runs until 11:59 p.m. ET on January 1, 2027.^[1]

6. Weigh the Real Rewards credit card

   16% back in points, 30% off the first purchaseHigh effortFrequent AE and Aerie shoppers

   The card, issued by Synchrony Bank subject to credit approval, earns 40 points per $1 (16% back) at AE and Aerie when you pay with it, free standard shipping and returns on any order paid with the card, and a 20% off code once a year. Opening and using it takes 30% off your first purchase, which can't be combined with any other coupon or code. There's no annual fee, but new accounts carry a 33.24% variable purchase APR; AE says checking whether you prequalify doesn't affect your credit score.^{[1, 3, 4]}

American Eagle runs its sales as marked prices on ae.com — no code to enter. The codes it does issue (Real Rewards rewards, birthday and cardmember offers) are personal to the member, so we list only AE's public dated sales, each with its end time.

1. Rewards expire 60 days after they're issued

   An expired reward can't be honored, and if you use a reward on a purchase smaller than its value, the rest is forfeited rather than refunded.^{[4, 5]}

2. All your points go after 375 days without a purchase

   Points stay alive only while you make at least one qualifying purchase in a rolling 375-day period; otherwise every point expires and the account goes inactive.^{[4, 5]}

3. Clearance doesn't count for the shipping and returns perks

   AE's terms list clearance as excluded from the $75 free-shipping offer, and the free-returns perks for Level 3 members, cardmembers and Aerie bras and swim don't cover clearance products.^{[1, 7]}

4. Returns take the points back with them

   Points earned on an item are deducted when you return it — even if they've already become a reward, which can leave your balance below zero.^{[4, 5]}

5. In-store purchases go back to a store

   Anything bought in a store can't be returned through the online portal, and online orders become returnable only once the whole order has shipped.^[6]
