Nike Promo Codes & Member Discounts: How to Save

Nike's savings run through its own programs: the free membership, the 10% verified discounts, the 14-day price adjustment — and knowing which products codes never touch.

Does Nike have promo codes?

Nike's discounts come through its own programs: the 10% verified discounts, the members' birthday offer and occasional promotions. Only one percent-off code works per order, alongside a free-shipping code, and codes never apply to SNKRS releases.[6, 12]

Our verdict

Join Nike Membership before you buy — it's free and gets you free shipping from $50 and free returns — then use the 10% verified discount if you're a student, teacher, in the military or a first responder, and ask for a price adjustment within 14 days if Nike puts what you bought on sale.

Ways to save at Nike

Ordered by what each is typically worth to a regular shopper — the biggest saving first.

  1. Join Nike Membership and sign in before checkout

Free shipping from $50 and free returnsLow effortEveryone — membership is free

Membership costs nothing and changes what you pay at once: free standard shipping on orders of $50 or more (guests need $75), free returns, and receipt-free returns or exchanges in Nike stores and the Nike App. You have to be signed in when you check out for the member shipping rate to apply.[1, 3, 4]

    1. Create a free Nike Member account.
    2. Sign in before you add items to your bag, and stay signed in through checkout.
    3. Keep orders at $50 or more to ship for free.
  2. Get the 10% verified discount if you qualify

10% off most items, up to $500Some effortStudents, teachers, military, first responders, medical professionals

Nike gives 10% off most items to US students (16 and over), teachers and school staff, active, reservist, veteran and retired military (plus spouses and dependents of active personnel), and first responders and medical professionals. Students, teachers and military verify through SheerID and receive a single-use code — a new one every seven days, each expiring after two weeks. The discount covers the first $500 of an order and can only be combined with a free-shipping code.[7, 8, 9, 12]

    1. Open the discount page for your group in Nike's help centre and complete its verification form.
    2. Sign in to your Nike Member profile and enter the code at checkout.
    3. Military: show a valid military ID at checkout in US Nike stores instead.
  3. Ask for a price adjustment if Nike cuts the price within 14 days

The difference back to your cardSome effortNike Members who bought on Nike.com or the app

If a Nike promotion or sale lowers the price of exactly what you bought — same style number, color and size, still in stock — within 14 days of your purchase, Nike Members can request the difference, refunded to the original payment method. It doesn't cover BOGO or sitewide promotions, coupons, gifts with purchase, Nike By You, pre-orders, SNKRS products, or lower prices in stores or at other retailers.[5]

    1. Check the product page again in the two weeks after you buy.
    2. If the same item is cheaper through a Nike sale, use Contact Us (chat or 1-800-806-6453) within 14 days.
    3. Have the product details, the new price and the page ready.
  4. Use your birthday discount on a bigger order

10% off orders of $100+Low effortNike Members

Members get a 10% birthday discount, activated on the birthday saved in their profile and generally valid for 60 days. It needs a $100 minimum purchase, covers the first $500, works on Nike.com, in the Nike App and in US Nike stores, and combines only with free-shipping codes. Join before your birthday — sign up on or after it and the offer comes the following year.[10]

  5. Pick up in store instead of paying for shipping

No shipping fee on small ordersSome effortOrders under the free-shipping minimum

Eligible orders can be collected free with same-day pickup at participating Nike stores, usually ready within two hours — a way around the $5 or $8 shipping charge when your bag is below the free-shipping minimum.[3]

  6. Pair one percent-off code with a free-shipping code

The most a code can save youLow effortAnyone with a Nike promo code

Nike allows one percent-off code per order, which can be combined with a free-shipping code but not with another percent-off code. Enter it before you place the order — codes can't be added afterwards — and check the code's own terms, because some products are excluded.[6]

Nike promo codes

Codes and offers kept by David Jones, who lists only codes the store makes public.

Nike's codes come through its own programs — the verified discounts, the birthday offer and promotions. One percent-off code per order (plus a free-shipping code), entered before you place the order; codes never work on SNKRS releases.

No public code we could confirm right now

We would rather show nothing than a code that fails at checkout. The ways to save above work without one.

5 rules · nike.com, United States

The rules that decide what you pay

What Nike says about shipping, returns, refunds, promo codes and price adjustment — the details that turn a good deal into a bad one, or the other way round.

Shipping

Members: free from $50, otherwise $5. Guests: free from $75, otherwise $8.

Faster shipping costs $15 for members or $20 for guests, and the fastest option $25 or $30. Nike shows an estimated delivery date for every item at checkout. Free same-day pickup is available at participating stores for eligible orders. Nike By You and Converse Custom orders don't follow the standard timeframes.[3]

Returns

60 days from delivery or store purchase; free for members.

Proof of purchase is needed, though members can return or exchange receipt-free in Nike stores and the Nike App. Apple Watch accessories have only 14 days. Custom Jersey By You soccer jerseys, pre-orders, SNKRS Reserve orders, gift cards and items marked non-returnable can't be returned; Nike x LEGO sets must be sealed and unopened.[1, 2]

Refunds

Issued within six business days of Nike receiving your return.

Card and PayPal refunds can take up to 10 more days to show; refunds to Nike gift cards usually arrive within 24 hours. Shipping fees aren't refunded unless you received the wrong item.[2, 11]

Promo codes

One percent-off code per order, plus a free-shipping code.

Codes must be entered before you complete the order and can't be added to earlier orders. They don't work on Nike SNKRS releases, some products are excluded, and they can't be exchanged for cash or credit.[6]

Price adjustment

Nike Members, within 14 days, for Nike's own sales.

The lower price has to come from a Nike promotion or sale on the same style number, SKU, color and size, still in stock online. Prices in Nike stores or at other retailers don't count, and Nike can limit adjustments per customer.[5]

4 catches in the fine print

Watch out for

Where shoppers lose the saving they thought they had.

  1. Codes don't touch SNKRS drops

Nike promo codes aren't valid on SNKRS releases, and SNKRS products are excluded from price adjustments too.[5, 6]

  2. Clearance stores are final

Items bought at Nike Clearance stores can't be returned or exchanged, aren't eligible for price adjustments, and the 60-day wear test doesn't apply to them.[2, 4]

  3. Verified discounts have a $500 ceiling and exclusions

The 10% student, teacher and military codes cover only the first $500 of an order and don't apply to Nike By You, gift cards, select Launch and SNKRS products or Apple products. The teacher and student codes can't be used in Nike stores.[7, 8, 9]

  4. Shipping fees don't come back

If you return an order, the shipping you paid isn't refunded unless Nike sent the wrong item — another reason to reach the free-shipping minimum or pick up in store.[2]
