New Balance Promo Codes & Ways to Save

New Balance's savings come from a free account that drops standard shipping and mailed-return fees, a 15% ID.me discount for military, healthcare staff, teachers and seniors, dated site-wide offers in the promo bar, and trade-in vouchers for old shoes.

Does New Balance have promo codes?

New Balance posts its public offers in the promo bar on newbalance.com and takes the discount at checkout — through October 20, 2026 that's 25% off select styles on orders of $125 or more. Its codes are issued to individual shoppers, such as the single-use ID.me codes and the email sign-up discount, and only one discount works per order.[4, 5, 7]

Our verdict

Make a free New Balance account and log in before paying: members get free standard shipping on any order (guests need $75) and avoid the $5 restocking fee on mailed returns. Then read the promo bar at the top of each page, where New Balance posts its dated offers; if you're military, a nurse, a teacher or 60+, weigh it against 15% off full-price items through ID.me, because only one discount counts per order. Models such as the 990 and 9060 sit on the exclusions list, so check the product page first.

Ways to save at New Balance

Ordered by what each is typically worth to a regular shopper — the biggest saving first.

  1. Create a free account and log in before checkout

Free shipping on any order, free mailed returnsLow effortEveryone ordering online

New Balance membership costs nothing and starts once you create an account on newbalance.com or sign up in a store. Logged-in members get free standard shipping with no minimum — guests need a $75 order or pay $9.95 — and mailed returns without the $5 restocking fee that non-members lose from their refund. Members also receive members-only offers and a birthday offer.[1, 2, 3]

    1. Create an account on newbalance.com; if you joined in a store, set up the online account too.
    2. Log in before checkout so the member shipping rate applies.
    3. Start mailed returns from the same account so no restocking fee is taken.
  2. Use the offer in the promo bar

25% off select styles on $125+ (to Oct 20)Low effortOrders of $125 or more before tax

New Balance runs its site-wide offers from the promo bar at the top of newbalance.com, with dates and terms under Click to learn more. From October 14 to October 20, 2026 the offer is 25% off select styles once you spend $125 before tax, with the discount taken off individual items at checkout. It can't be used on gift cards or earlier orders, can't be exchanged for cash, and can't be combined with any other offer.[7]

    1. Open Click to learn more under the promo bar to read the dates and terms.
    2. Shop from the offer's own page so the styles in your bag qualify.
    3. Check that the discount shows in your bag before you pay.
  3. Join the email list for a first-order discount

20% off a first order (Oct 2026)Low effortPeople who have never subscribed

New Balance rewards new email subscribers with a discount — on October 16, 2026 the sign-up box on newbalance.com offered 20% off a first order, with exclusions. Anyone who has subscribed before isn't eligible, and the discount is applied when you follow the Shop Now link in the email. It counts as your one discount for that order, so don't plan on adding it to a site-wide offer.[4, 7]

  4. Verify with ID.me for 15% off full-price items

15% off, one code per 30 daysSome effortMilitary, nurses, medical and hospital staff, teachers, first responders, government employees, seniors 60+

New Balance gives an ongoing 15% online discount to these groups once ID.me confirms you belong to one. Each code is unique and single-use, you can get one every 30 days, and it works only on full-price items at newbalance.com — not alongside other offers, and not on excluded styles. Military eligibility covers veterans, retirees, spouses and dependents as well as active duty.[4, 5, 9]

    1. Open Special discounts in the newbalance.com footer and choose Verify with ID.me.
    2. Confirm your group with ID.me to receive your code.
    3. Enter it under Redeem Gift Card or Promo Code at checkout, on full-price items only.
  5. Trade in old New Balance shoes for a voucher

Up to 25% of the original MSRPSome effortOwners of used men's or women's NB shoes

Through New Balance Reconsidered, accepted shoes earn a voucher worth up to 25% of their original MSRP, or $5 when the MSRP can't be identified. Take them to a participating US store, because mail-in trade-ins have $7.50 taken off the voucher for shipping. The voucher works on newbalance.com and in participating stores and expires 90 days after it's issued.[8]

    1. Check the shoes are clean, complete and still wearable — collaborations aren't accepted.
    2. Bring them to a participating New Balance store, or register a mail-in trade-in.
    3. Spend the emailed voucher within 90 days.

6 rules · newbalance.com, United States

The rules that decide what you pay

What New Balance says about shipping, returns, exchanges, promotions, price match and pre-owned (Reconsidered) — the details that turn a good deal into a bad one, or the other way round.

Shipping

Free standard shipping from $75, or on any order for members.

Below $75, guests pay $9.95 for UPS Ground (2–5 business days once shipped) or $11.95 for USPS (2–7 business days); the free rate on the chart covers only those two methods. UPS 2-Day Air costs $19.95 and UPS 1-Day Air $25.95. In-stock items leave within 2 business days, and UPS doesn't deliver on weekends or holidays.[2]

Returns

45 days, in new condition, with proof of purchase.

Online orders can go back within 45 days of shipping, store purchases within 45 days of purchase, with a receipt, order confirmation email or packing list; final-sale and non-returnable items are excluded. In-store returns at New Balance and New Balance Factory stores are free and refunded on the spot. Mailed returns are free for members, cost non-members a $5 restocking fee, and take up to 14 days to refund after they arrive.[3]

Exchanges

No direct exchanges on online orders.

Return the item and place a new order for the replacement. If the discount on your first order has since expired, Customer Care can apply it to the new order, though some single-use coupons can't be reissued.[3]

Promotions

One discount or promotion per order.

If you enter more than one, New Balance applies only the largest. Styles on its sale exclusions list are left out of all discounts, coupons and promo codes, and an excluded style is flagged on its product page and in your bag.[4, 6]

Price match

No price matching and no price adjustments.

New Balance doesn't match prices from other retailers or from its own stores. A promotion that starts after you've ordered isn't applied to that earlier purchase.[4]

Pre-owned (Reconsidered)

Inspected returns sold at a discount.

New Balance Reconsidered sells worn items and items with cosmetic flaws after inspection and cleaning, graded Like New, Excellent or Very Good. Returns are accepted within 45 days minus a $7.50 return shipping fee, final-sale items excepted, and orders ship only within the continental US, Alaska and Hawaii.[8]

5 catches in the fine print

Watch out for

Where shoppers lose the saving they thought they had.

  1. Models like the 990 and 9060 are excluded from discounts

New Balance's sale exclusions page lists styles left out of discounts, coupons and promo codes — among them the 990, 9060, 530, 574, 2010 and 1080 — along with gift cards. Look for the exclusion note on the product page or in your bag before counting on a discount.[4, 6]

  2. Worn shoes can be refused

Returns must be in new condition, and New Balance can turn away worn or damaged items. The exception is a named list of sports bras covered by the Fit Promise, which can go back within 45 days even after a workout.[3]

  3. The $5 fee is charged per return, not per order

When a return needs more than one box, each box is its own return with its own label, so a non-member pays the restocking fee on each. Members pay none, and returning in a store is free for everyone.[3]

  4. A second discount won't add up

Only one discount or promotion counts per order, and New Balance keeps the largest. An email or ID.me code won't stack on a site-wide offer, so use it on an order the offer doesn't cover.[4, 5, 7]

  5. Rejected trade-ins aren't sent back

Shoes mailed in that don't meet the trade-in standard earn nothing and are donated to Soles4Souls rather than returned. Damaged, heavily worn or incomplete pairs and collaborations are turned down.[8]
