Thrive Market Promo Codes & Coupons

Thrive Market charges a membership fee before you can shop, so the first saving is the plan itself: $59.95 a year against $12 a month, or a free year through Thrive Gives if you qualify. After that, clear $49 per grocery box and claim price-match credit.

Does Thrive Market have promo codes?

Thrive Market sends promo codes in its promotional emails; they expire, and if an email shows no date Thrive suggests using the code within two weeks, while codes from its Member Services team don't expire. Enter a code at checkout by clicking Add next to Promo Code / Gift Card. Thrive says new-member offers should apply to your first order automatically, without a code.[13, 27, 28]

Our verdict

Take the annual plan at $59.95 rather than paying $12 a month: first-time annual members can cancel within 30 days for a full refund, and the Savings Guarantee credits the difference if a year of savings falls short of the fee. Teachers, nurses, students, veterans, first responders and SNAP EBT cardholders should apply for a free Thrive Gives year first, and every grocery order should go over $49 so it ships free.

Ways to save at Thrive Market

Ordered by what each is typically worth to a regular shopper — the biggest saving first.

  1. Choose the annual plan, not monthly

$59.95 a year instead of $12 a monthLow effortAnyone keeping the membership five months or more

Thrive's membership costs $59.95 a year or $12 a month, so twelve monthly payments come to $144. Only the annual plan carries the 30-day full refund for first-time members and the Savings Guarantee: if a year of savings doesn't cover the fee, Thrive credits the difference as Thrive Cash when you renew.[1, 2, 3, 6, 7]

    1. Pick the annual option when you sign up on thrivemarket.com.
    2. Place a few orders in the first 30 days to judge whether it suits you.
    3. If it doesn't, cancel within those 30 days for a full refund of the fee.
  2. Apply for a free year through Thrive Gives

The whole membership fee, for one yearLow effortTeachers, nurses, students, veterans, first responders, SNAP EBT cardholders, families in need

Thrive Gives offers a free one-year membership to individuals and families in financial need, and its page names teachers, nurses, first responders, students, veterans and SNAP EBT cardholders among those who qualify. Applicants in the teacher, student, veteran, nurse and first-responder groups confirm their status through ID.me. When the free year is over, the membership renews as a paid annual plan unless you've been approved for another free year or cancelled.[1, 9, 10]

    1. Open the Thrive Gives page on thrivemarket.com and choose Apply.
    2. Verify your group status with ID.me if Thrive asks you to.
    3. Before the free year ends, reapply or cancel so the annual fee isn't charged.
  3. Fill each box past its free-shipping line

$5.95 off grocery, $19.95 off frozenLow effortEvery order

Grocery orders ship free over $49 and otherwise cost $5.95; frozen orders ship free over $99 and otherwise cost $19.95, and a frozen order needs $65 just to check out. Grocery and frozen boxes are priced separately, so each has to clear its own line. Thrive's free-gift help page also lists a $49 cart minimum for a free gift, which can change by promotion, with wine and frozen items not counting toward it.[11, 12, 25]

  4. Put the staples you rebuy on Recurring

An extra 5–10% off thousands of itemsLow effortPantry and household items you reorder

Enrolling items in Recurring unlocks an extra 5–10% off thousands of products, with deliveries set anywhere from every week to every 12 weeks. When a sale is on and your next Recurring box falls outside it, use Change Date to bring the shipment forward and the sale prices apply. You can edit a box until the evening before its scheduled processing date, or switch Recurring off on the Recurring page.[1, 19, 20]

  5. Claim a price match when it's cheaper elsewhere

The difference in Thrive Cash, up to $20 an orderSome effortIdentical items listed for less at a US store

If the identical product — same brand, flavor, size and quantity — is listed for less at another US online or brick-and-mortar store, Thrive pays the difference as Thrive Cash, comparing against its Recurring price where the item has one. Ask within 30 days of placing your order; credit is capped at $20 or ten items per order, the other store's coupons, shipping and checkout discounts don't count, and peer-to-peer resale marketplaces aren't eligible.[18, 22]

    1. Order the item from Thrive first.
    2. Within 30 days, send a photo or link of the lower price through Thrive's help-centre request form or chat.
    3. Spend the credit within 30 days of it being issued, before it expires.

Thrive Market's promo codes arrive in its promotional emails, each with its own expiry, and new-member offers apply automatically at checkout. We list a code here only when Thrive publishes it on its own site.

6 rules · thrivemarket.com, United States

The rules that decide what you pay

What Thrive Market says about shipping, returns, refunds, membership cancellation, order changes and Thrive Cash — the details that turn a good deal into a bad one, or the other way round.

Shipping

Free over $49 for grocery and over $99 for frozen.

Below those amounts a grocery order costs $5.95 to ship and a frozen one $19.95, and frozen orders need at least $65 to check out. Thrive ships to residential and commercial addresses in the contiguous US only — not to P.O. boxes, Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico — and says orders typically ship within one business day.[11, 12]

Returns

Nothing can be sent back once it has shipped.

If an item's quality disappoints, tell Thrive by chat within 21 days of receiving the order and it says it will try to make it right; after 21 days it may refuse. Digital downloads, gift cards, gift memberships and final-sale items aren't refundable, and frozen orders can't be returned — quality problems with them are settled with a credit toward a future order.[14, 15]

Refunds

To your original payment; Thrive says most take 3–5 business days.

Timing also depends on your state and your bank or card issuer, and Thrive emails a receipt when a refund is issued. If your refund comes as a Thrive gift card, the card is sent by email.[16]

Membership cancellation

Cancel any time; only first-time annual members get a refund, within 30 days.

First-time annual members can cancel within their first 30 days for a full refund, though they can't place orders once the cancellation is confirmed. Otherwise, fees already paid aren't refunded and perks run to the end of the paid term; monthly members can cancel before their next billing date. California residents can cancel in Account Settings, and other members through Thrive's cancellation help page or Member Services chat.[1, 3, 4, 5]

Order changes

You get 30 minutes to edit or cancel.

Use the Edit/Cancel button under Account > Your Orders within 30 minutes of ordering. After that, Thrive tries to make changes until the shipping notification goes out; once you have a tracking number, nothing can be changed.[17]

Thrive Cash

Store credit that applies itself and expires after 30 days.

Thrive Cash comes from price matches, the Savings Guarantee, Thrive Cash deals and referrals — $40 for each friend who becomes an annual member and stays 30 days. Each $1 is worth $1 on merchandise, but not on tax, shipping, gift cards or memberships; your whole balance applies automatically at checkout, and it expires 30 days after it's issued unless stated otherwise.[6, 7, 18, 22, 24]

5 catches in the fine print

Watch out for

Where shoppers lose the saving they thought they had.

  1. Your first order is set to repeat

Under Thrive's terms, items in a new member's first order default to Recurring every four weeks, and products added to the cart later can default to Recurring too. Thrive also fills your first cart with Personalized Picks based on your quiz answers, so remove anything you don't want and check the Recurring page before the next box is charged.[1, 21]

  2. An optional fee is added to every order

Thrive adds a Worker Health & Safety fee to each order, and paying it is optional. Opt out from the information icon next to the fee in your cart, or under Account > Account Information > Order Settings — either way it's removed from future orders too.[23]

  3. Credits disappear after 30 days

Thrive Cash, including Savings Guarantee and price-match credit, expires 30 days after it's issued unless stated otherwise, and any unused balance is forfeited when your membership ends. Plan an order soon after a credit lands.[8, 22]

  4. Ordering after you cancel restarts the fee

If you place an order after your cancellation has taken effect, Thrive charges the then-current rate for a non-refundable annual membership. If you cancelled for the 30-day refund, ordering stops as soon as the cancellation is confirmed.[1, 4]

  5. "Up to 30% off" is measured against Compare At prices

Thrive's savings figures, including its up-to-30% claim, are based on Compare At prices: what manufacturers report the item, or a similar one, sold for at other retailers. Thrive says these may not be the going price in your area, so compare the items you buy most.[26, 30]

Thrive Market savings FAQ

Thrive Market sends promo codes in its promotional emails; they expire, and if an email shows no date Thrive suggests using the code within two weeks, while codes from its Member Services team don't expire. Enter a code at checkout by clicking Add next to Promo Code / Gift Card. Thrive says new-member offers should apply to your first order automatically, without a code.[13, 27, 28]

$59.95 a year or $12 a month, and both renew automatically at the then-current rate until you cancel. Monthly plans bought before April 2022 renew at $9.95.[1, 2]

Not all the time — Thrive says its new-member promotions change frequently. What it does offer is a 30-day window in which first-time annual members can cancel for a full refund; the monthly plan has no such window, but you can cancel it before the next billing date.[1, 3]

Its version is Thrive Gives: teachers, students, nurses, first responders, veterans and SNAP EBT cardholders, along with families in financial need, can apply for a free one-year membership, with group status checked through ID.me. Thrive also distributes memberships through nonprofit partners, including Blue Star Families. After the free year, the membership renews as a paid one unless you're approved again or cancel.[1, 9, 10]

Spend over $49 on a grocery order or over $99 on a frozen order; below those amounts shipping is $5.95 or $19.95. On October 17, 2026, a banner on thrivemarket.com also offered free shipping on a first grocery order over $25.[11, 29]

Thrive doesn't take items back once they've shipped. If something's quality disappoints, contact Member Services by chat within 21 days of receiving the order; problems with frozen orders are settled with a credit toward a future order.[14, 15]

Yes, through its Price Guarantee Program. Send proof of a lower US price for the identical, in-stock item within 30 days of ordering, and Thrive credits the difference as Thrive Cash — up to $20 or ten items per order.[18]

A promise to annual members: if your savings in a year don't add up to the membership fee, Thrive credits the difference as Thrive Cash when you renew. It doesn't apply to monthly plans, and the credit expires 30 days after it's issued.[6, 7, 8]

First-time annual members get a full refund if they cancel within the first 30 days; after that, fees already paid aren't refunded, though perks last until the paid term ends. California residents can cancel in Account Settings, and other members through Thrive's cancellation help page or Member Services chat.[1, 4, 5]
