Costco Promo Codes & Coupon Book

Costco has no promo codes to type in: its member-only instant savings come off on their own, the Executive tier pays back about 2% up to $1,250 a year, and a price drop within 30 days of buying can be credited back to you.

Does Costco have promo codes?

Not public ones. For instant savings on Costco.com there's no coupon code to enter — the saving is deducted automatically at checkout. The sign-up offer for groups such as the military uses a single-use code issued after verification, so there's nothing public to list.[11, 19]

Our verdict

Open the Warehouse Savings page before each trip: those member-only deals need no code, and online they're deducted in your cart automatically. The Executive upgrade ($65 more, $130 a year) returns about 2%, capped at $1,250, so it covers itself at roughly $3,250 of eligible spending a year. And if something you bought gets cheaper at Costco within 30 days, ask for the difference.

Ways to save at Costco

Ordered by what each is typically worth to a regular shopper — the biggest saving first.

  1. Plan your trip around the member-only instant savings

Dollars off listed items, no codeLow effortMembers, in the warehouse or online

Costco posts its Member-Only Warehouse Savings for a fixed run of dates, item by item: each one is marked Warehouse Only, Online Only or Warehouse & Online, and most carry a per-household limit. On Costco.com there's no coupon code to enter — the saving is taken off automatically at checkout. The same savings booklet goes by mail to the Primary Member of active shopping accounts, one copy per address.[10, 11, 12, 13]

    1. Open the Warehouse Savings page on costco.com and note the valid dates at the top.
    2. Check each item's label (warehouse, online or both) and its household limit.
    3. Buy before the last valid day — Costco doesn't honor instant savings after it.
  2. Upgrade to Executive only if your spending covers the $65

About 2% back, up to $1,250 a yearLow effortHouseholds spending around $3,250+ a year at Costco

Executive costs $130 a year — $65 more than Gold Star or Business — and pays back roughly 2% of eligible pre-tax purchases, capped at $1,250 for any 12-month period. On Costco's own table, $3,252 of purchases a year earns about $65, the price of the upgrade. Gasoline, tobacco, Shop Cards, cellphones, food court meals, membership fees, tax and shipping don't count, and nothing bought before the upgrade earns the reward. Executive members also get a $10 credit each month on one Same-Day order of $150 or more.[1, 2]

  3. Ask for the difference when a Costco price drops within 30 days

The drop credited to your paymentSome effortCostco.com orders and warehouse purchases

If an item you bought gets cheaper within 30 days of the purchase date, it qualifies for what Costco calls a price match, up to any promotional item limit. When the lower price comes from a dated promotion, the request has to be made while that promotion is still running as well as within the 30 days. Approved credits on Costco.com orders typically reach the original payment method in 5 to 10 business days.[8, 9]

    1. Under Orders & Returns, open the order summary to see whether the promotion was already deducted.
    2. For an online order, use the Request a Price Match button on Costco's help page.
    3. For a warehouse purchase, ask at the Returns counter of the warehouse where you bought it.
  4. Join online with auto renewal to collect a Shop Card

$40 (Executive) or $20 (Gold Star)Low effortNew members, or no membership in 18 months

As of Oct 16, 2026, Costco's join page offered a Digital Costco Shop Card — $40 with Executive, $20 with Gold Star — to new members who sign up online and set up auto renewal on a Visa card or Mastercard debit card, with no end date shown. Renewals and upgrades don't qualify, nor does anyone who held a membership in the last 18 months, and the card is emailed within 2 weeks. The page sends students (through UNiDAYS) and teachers, health workers, first responders, government employees and military (through SheerID) to this same new-member offer.[1, 18, 19]

  5. Compare warehouse, Costco.com and Same-Day prices

Skip the delivery markupsSome effortAnyone ordering for delivery

Costco.com prices build in shipping and handling, so they can be higher than the warehouse's, and Costco won't adjust an online purchase down to a warehouse price. Same-Day Delivery prices are marked up above your local warehouse to pay for Instacart's service, with a $35 order minimum. For non-perishables, CostcoGrocery 2-Day Delivery adds $3 per item unless the order reaches $75 before tax.[7, 8, 14]

6 rules · costco.com, United States

The rules that decide what you pay

What Costco says about shipping, returns, non-returnable items, price adjustments, membership refund and payment — the details that turn a good deal into a bad one, or the other way round.

Shipping

Included in the price on most Costco.com items.

Most orders go by Standard Delivery with UPS, FedEx or USPS; picking express adds a shipping and handling fee quoted at checkout. Bulky items travel by freight carrier with curbside, threshold, room-of-choice or white-glove options, and most major appliances bought online include delivery, installation and haul away. Orders to Alaska or Hawaii carry an extra shipping and handling fee.[1, 7, 10]

Returns

Costco's satisfaction guarantee covers most products.

The main exception is a 90-day window, counted from the day you received the item, for TVs, projectors, major appliances, computers, tablets, smart wearables, cameras, drones, camcorders, MP3 players and cellphones. Online orders can go back to any warehouse for an immediate refund that includes shipping and handling, or be returned through Costco.com with no charge for return shipping.[5, 6]

Non-returnable items

Shop Cards, tickets and a few other categories.

Shop Cards, gift cards and tickets, airline and live-event items, and precious metals are non-refundable, and custom special-order products can only be repaired or replaced under warranty. Cigarettes and alcohol aren't taken back where the law prohibits it, and a diamond of 1.00ct or more has to come back with its original certificates.[5]

Price adjustments

Within 30 days, against Costco's own prices only.

Costco doesn't match other retailers, and it won't lower a Costco.com purchase to a warehouse price. Resellers get a promotional price only by buying during the promotion, and precious metals are excluded. Costco says it can deny any request at its sole discretion.[8]

Membership refund

Cancel whenever you're dissatisfied and get the fee back.

At a warehouse membership counter the refund is immediate; you can also cancel by calling Member Services at 1-800-774-2678. To get back only the Executive upgrade fee you have to downgrade or cancel, and any 2% Reward already issued or accrued is taken off that refund.[2, 5, 15]

Payment

Visa is the only credit card brand in the warehouse.

Warehouses take Visa cards, debit/ATM, cash, checks, EBT and Costco Shop Cards; Costco.com also accepts Mastercard. Costco doesn't take manufacturers' coupons it didn't distribute itself, or coupons from other stores.[4]

5 catches in the fine print

Watch out for

Where shoppers lose the saving they thought they had.

  1. Nonmembers pay 5% more online

Some Costco.com items can be bought without a membership, but nonmembers pay 5% more than members. In the warehouse, everything except prescriptions needs a paid membership.[4, 16]

  2. Instant savings stop on the last valid day

Costco says its vendor agreements limit instant savings to the dates shown, so they aren't honored afterwards. They also can't be combined with other savings, and household limits apply where marked.[10, 12]

  3. The 2% Reward is spent in the warehouse

It arrives as a paper certificate with your renewal statement and is redeemed at a warehouse register — not at self-checkout. To use it on Costco.com, buy a Costco Shop Card with it in the warehouse and pay online with the card.[3]

  4. Auto renewal bills on the 1st of your renewal month

With auto renewal, your card is charged on the first day of the month your membership renews. To stop it, cancel at least 72 hours before that day — in your Costco account, at a membership counter or through Member Services.[4]

  5. Costco Next is gone

Costco's help center says Costco Next storefronts are no longer available. For returns or warranty questions on an earlier Costco Next order, contact that vendor directly; Costco lists their phone numbers and emails.[17]

Costco savings FAQ

Not public ones. For instant savings on Costco.com there's no coupon code to enter — the saving is deducted automatically at checkout. The sign-up offer for groups such as the military uses a single-use code issued after verification, so there's nothing public to list.[11, 19]

Yes. Costco mails a savings booklet to the Primary Member of active shopping accounts, one per address, and the same member-only savings appear on the Warehouse Savings page with their valid dates. Costco doesn't accept manufacturers' coupons unless it distributed them itself.[4, 10, 13]

Costco's join page points students (via UNiDAYS) and military, teachers, health workers, first responders and government employees (via SheerID) to its new-member offer rather than a percentage off: a Digital Costco Shop Card for joining with auto renewal. The military page shows $40 with Executive and $20 with Gold Star.[1, 18, 19]

Shipping is included in the price on most items. Express delivery costs extra, CostcoGrocery 2-Day items add $3 each on orders under $75 before tax, and deliveries to Alaska or Hawaii carry an additional fee.[7, 10]

Costco guarantees satisfaction on most products and refunds the purchase price, with exceptions — TVs, major appliances, computers, tablets, cameras, smart wearables and cellphones must come back within 90 days of receipt. Online orders can be returned at any warehouse or through Costco.com, with shipping refunded and no return shipping charge.[5, 6]

Yes, when Costco's own price drops within 30 days of your purchase: request it online for Costco.com orders, or at the Returns counter for warehouse purchases. Costco doesn't price match other retailers.[8]

It pays for itself once the 2% Reward reaches the $65 upgrade fee, which takes about $3,252 of eligible yearly spending on Costco's own table. The reward is capped at $1,250 and isn't guaranteed to match the fee, but you can downgrade for a refund of the upgrade fee minus any reward.[1, 2]

Yes. Costco will cancel and refund your membership fee if you're dissatisfied; a warehouse membership counter refunds it immediately, or you can call Member Services at 1-800-774-2678.[5, 15]

In the warehouse, only for prescriptions — everything else requires a paid membership. Online, some Costco.com items are open to nonmembers at 5% more than members pay.[4, 16]
